How does the game fit the theme?
I was inspired by Stranger Things and the idea of two realities existing at the same time. The world doesn’t change, it just reveals a parallel one that’s already there. When you move the mouse you can see that hidden world, and it helps you figure out where the goal is. So you’re kind of exploring two places at once.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I reused some art and base code from older projects and adapted it for this idea. The only external things I used were two sound effects from Freesound community, one for jumping and one for taking damage. Everything else was made by me.

That was cool! I really like the main mechanic of the 2 worlds, and the puzzle design is also cool! I found 1 bug though, which is if you tap the rewind button after you fall into lava or spikes or anything that damages you, it will make it no longer damage you so you can basically walk across lava and spikes. Thought I should mention that, but overall very cool!

Really clever game. The two worlds thing is such a cool brain trick, and the way you reveal it with the mouse swipe feels really natural once you get it. The rewind is already a great design choice; it keeps the puzzles snappy without turning mistakes into a whole reset/redo chore.

Also, the axolotl is adorable. The animations are super clean, CRT effect looks awesome, and the level design does a good job teaching without dumping text on you. I'd 100% play more of this if you ever add more stages, seriously.

Your game was really good. The parallel worlds were really unique and the rewind was forgiving. The controls were really intuitive and everything felt fluid which is really impressive for a week-long game jam.

I've played other games with similar 2 world idea, but your rewind mechanic and visual execution of the world mechanic was top notch!

One of the best core mechanics ive seen.Liked the puzzles. W rewind mechanic. Very on theme.

The game is very creative. The difficulty is well-balanced as well. Great work!

I was really hoping there'd be more levels to this! Great game with a very innovative concept.

Very fun game. Rewind is a bit broken, as well as the walking sound, but I love the aesthetic and the idea. Execution is amazing too - well-thought-out levels. A restart option would be nice, since rewind soft locked me on 2 level.

Really nice game design, the old school CRT aesthetic is great.

The swipe effect is cool, though does not add too much yet.

Congrats on a great game!

Charming, visually and mechanically. With a generous fallback system for accessibility. Well done.

That's a cool concept and mechanics in the game! Fun to play:) I like the visuals and the sound - only suggestion is that rewind sound is a bit irritating

The key mechanic of the game is quite fun to use and intuitive once you get it. It would be cool if the resolution was a bit higher on the web version. I encountered a couple of minor bugs, the first is that you can skip most lava etc by just restarting, as you don't instantly die so you can move and restart repeatedly to cross over; the second one is that boxes stack up, which means you may need you to restart the game.

Very fun!

The mechanic of the game is really interesting and the visual is really cute. Great work :)

I have completed the game! I can see that there are lots of cool mechanics done behind this.

One small piece of feedback, I can see that you can switch two players with right click but it was a bit hard to tell because you also need to move the mouse to show the other world.

I would suggest making right click switch the character and play the other world transition at the same time.

Overall, great work!

This game is super cool! The mechanics are incredibly unique and being able to rewind in a puzzle game was awesome. The visual effects and sound design are great, too. Definitely difficult, but it made me spend lots of time on it. Great job with this one!

This was a really cool game! I liked the combination of switching worlds and the rewind feature. The latter was very helpful :)

The visuals look great, and the mechanic you've implemented is really interesting. Both levels are nicely designed. I'd suggest giving each axolotl a separate camera. Nice work overall!
