Game description
Humanity's first contact with an alien civilisation went catastrophically wrong. Now an enemy fleet advances towards Earth.
Your squadron was sent to retrieve ancient alien technology: a planetary defence system that could save humanity. The mission failed. Your team was ambushed, and you're the sole survivor, fleeing in a crippled ship with the defence system in your cargo bay.
An Enemy Capital Ship is hunting you, determined to destroy Earth's only hope before you reach home. Your navigation systems are destroyed, forcing you to navigate by sonar, but every pulse drains your dwindling energy.
Your squadron gave everything for this mission. Don't let their sacrifice be in vain.
Get home, save Earth.
Theme interpretation
Navigate the universe using your sonar wave. Mining asteroids and killing alien ships will upgrade the wave emitter on your ship.
Upgrading will allow those objects to begin returning a pulse, as well as making them visible on the minimap

This is a really great entry with a lot of polish and a great last man on earth vibe to it. I really loved seeing this idea grow from an early inception, playtesting early versions and seeing it grow into the entry it is today. Great work!
Great game, well done! Had fun mobbing around blasting away. The laser mechanic was very satisfying.
Only minor feedback is I thought the movement could be a little snappier (maybe just braking slightly faster). Also it's a cool cutscene at the start, but would prefer to only see it the first time so you don't have to wait after you die.
Nice game!
Really well presented game. Satisying collecting asteroids and destroying alien ships. I only feel movement is a bit sluggish and would benefit from slightly less momentum, - maybe it's just me but I didn't feel very in control of the ship. But generally ery good job!
Thanks for playing! Yeah the momentum was really challenging to tune.. I wanted it to feel like you were floating in space, and the ship was a little damaged so the thruster wasn't super strong. There were booster upgrades along the way that I hoped would add some more velocity and top speed but they were rare (i need to tune the loot table better).
Amazing that you enjoyed it though, thanks again :D
This was fun :) The sonar mechanic worked really well, I always knew where to go :) I also enjoyed turning off thrusters to turn around and toast any pursuers..
If anything I would like more varied weaponry, and I wish it was easier to maneuver.
I really liked that fuel/energy was a finite resource, it added a nice dimension to the combat and movement.
I had a few extra weapons in development, but just couldn't get it polished enough to be happy.. Once the jam is over I'll continue working on it! More weapons, enemies, and an inventory system!
Thanks for playing and reviewing!
Very fun take on an asteroids game. Earth sends it regards. Love it. Well done.
Thanks! It was a lot of fun making it..
I'm glad you got to the end, Earth appreciates it :)
