as per usual, ur games are always so pretty, and i vibe with them so much... its like walking into a museum with coffee at hand after a long day of work.

Truly a work of art, really neat submission. I adore the aesthetic of this game, it felt like an old anthropologists notes come to life with the sfx and animations. Each little animation for the figures is dripping with style, and the interactions between them are really neat. It took a while to figure out the point of the game but I think that difficulty of getting your bearings serves your vision for the game really well and ends up being a nice artistic choice. I do feel you are lacking in the theme a bit (probably from doing 2 jams at the same time :p). I solved all the figures but 8, and even though it doesn't feel super "game-y" its a very nice experience and you should be proud of the art you created.

thank you for playing !

my "games" tend to end up not very game-y, so i know they're not for everyone, but i'm glad to hear you found things to enjoy regardless :]

for that last figure you just need to manifest all flowers at least once (there's 5 of i remember right)

this was actually my primary jam haha, i just wasn't that inspired by focusing on actual frogs so closely, so i went with the "frog in my throat" phrase, which at first i wanted to have more animations for and interactions with but i had to cut for time, still valid criticism tho, i tend to take the theme and let my train of thought run wild until i find something that sparks an idea, it just usually ends up a bit removed from the literal interpretation 😅 it's funny how opposite on that spectrum our ideas are

thank you for giving it a shot and such a kind comment !

Thought this was just a pretty interactive graphic till I saw comments about solving the figures. Had fun figuring them all out once I knew. :D

Developer

glad you enjoyed it :]

The art is really interesting and has a great vibe. The autopsy concept is also a very clever take on the theme ,congratulations!

Developer

thank you, i'm glad you hear !

Submitted(+1)

i dont really understand it but graphically it looks really good and using the theme very uniquely

Developer

I loved the figuring out what to do. Not sure I understand what it is about but  I get the concept

Developer(+1)

that is good enough for me :D thank you for playing !

Alr, not gonna lie,  as you mentioned that this was personal and alot of people wont be able to relate or even understand, I was probly in that group myself.. :P

But as usual, you managed to make the most unique game in the jam..

I loved the unique theme implementation.

I did manage to cross out all the figs other than fig 1 and I didnt quite understand what the one with the hand marks meant or the one with just had black.. residue? yee (hope im not ruining it for others).

Ofc the artstyle was amazing!

It seems this project was very close and personal to you, Im glad that you managed to make, complete and release it in such a short time with amazing quality

Developer

that's super fair, i'm glad whenever someone gives it a shot anyway and tries understanding !

fig 1 just needs to be done twice (with the frog), i tried showing the amount of bugs reducing each time you hold it and was debating if i should just make it cross off after doing it once, but i wanted to have more variety so i left it at two

my friend interpreted the hand marks as aversion to touch and not liking some textures, which i think is a valid reading, my inspiration for it was specific moments in my life when touch felt bad
the residue is me trying to draw how it feels like for me to be sad, i tend to feel it more in my hands so i went with that, the paper covering it beforehand is because i have a hard time noticing i'm feeling a strong emotion, so removing it is kind of like focusing on it and recognizing that it's happening

thank you for your kind words ! originally i had a different idea, but i knew i was not gonna be able to work on it both days of the jam so i choose something simpler instead, i do like what i ended up with, but i am aware a jam might not be the best audience haha, still, i appreciate people just thinking about it with intent even if they don't end up relating

Ahh, I managed to finish it this time with your help!! :D Ill make sure to take care!
With more context, its really intriguing to think about what each fig means or signifies

I also forgot to mention last time, I love that phrase "Frog in my throat".. Like the game is based on those uneasy feelings that you may have experienced... just like how you would feel uneasy if there was a frog in your throat. Atleast thats what I interpreted it as

Again, I love when the things liike this in games are left for interpretation, I love that stuff

Great stuff

The presentation was really good, although it was confusing. I was just clicking around and guessing but the slight puzzle elements of moving things between figures was interesting and I would love to see it expanded upon.

Developer

glad you found something to enjoy in the end, thanks for playing :]

happy to hear !

It's not usual to find something so artsy, unique and presumably personal in a game jam, great job!

Developer

thank you for playing !

Submitted(+1)

I don't really understand it but I can see a lot of effort in the art

Developer

thanks for stopping by anyway :]

Nice art and a very personal game, it's refreshing

But the controls and gameplay are hard to understand like other said

Developer(+1)

that's fair, thank you for trying it out !

Pretty itch.io page and game. Controls an gameplay were a bit hard to grasp, but this participated to make this game intriguing.

Developer

thanks for giving it a shot !

I rated it , nice concept btw

Do you know what, i may not understand how to play or get what the game is but this is the most unique game I have ever seen in any jam

Developer (1 edit)

thank you ! it's basically an interactive feeling about how it feels like for me to be in my own body, so it's personal and i knew it would be confusing to most, but i am always open to hear how people interpret it on their own :]

as for gameplay, i'll leave tips here if you are interested (spoiler if anyone wants to avoid it)

  • you hover your mouse over different figure indicators to change to a different part of body and it's associated feeling
  • you click around to see how you can interact with each of them, your goal is to get them all crossed out
  • you can carry some items from one feeling to another
