I fell down a hole and I think my rabbit is still falling to oblivion. Next run I got stuck on a square and double jump wasn't working for some reason. It's difficult to do multiple runs and figure things out when there's no "game over" or restart option other than refreshing the game page. Think it could be a neat game with a little more time.

Developer

oh I’m sorry it should be in the description that the auto reset broke when I exported somehow, R still resets the bunny!

thank you! I ran out of time because I scrapped my original idea for the game jam and swapped with 3 days left so it was a little rushed lol

A little too confusing at a glance. I don't know if the double Jump is meant to function as a permanent upgrade, or a temporary power up.  I imagine a short tutorial would be useful.

Congrats on your submission!  Keep it up!

Fun little game however, as other have mentioned I don't really see how it fits with the theme. Still there are some interesting mechanics here and i think revisiting the game after the jam would be a great idea.

Developer

Thank you! I honestly think I could have done a better job in the out of place department, and also that the intro text contextualizes the displacement of the rabbit and why it's there but when that broke on export it became super apparent that I didn't use the out of place theme in enough of the mechanics. I'll work on it for next time/release an updated build at some point here!

Man i tought carrots help me double jump but look like i can fly with them :D I had really fine reversing the gravity is so cool. Good that we cant miss it by accident.

Developer

Thank you! and I think technically the code is that "for half a second after you interact with a carrot, you can still jump" which leads to some really wonky interactions sometimes lol. Thank you for giving it a try! I'm just glad I could submit something.

Tough and tight, but I gave it many attempts before I gave up. There is potential here, keep polishing it.

Double jump feels kinda clunky. Still a neat game though, I like the artstyle

It's a little hard to get the hang of the carrot parry, but it would an interesting idea for an endless runner.

Developer

Thank you for your time checking it out and that feedback! I have a lot of plans for fixing it after the jam is over and trying to make that feel a little better is definitely on there.

I don't think it fits the theme, but its okay for a first game.

Thank you! Yeah, there were things about it that were supposed to tie the theme in more but they either broke or I didnt have time to add them. Oh well, I'll learn not to switch ideas partway through next time. I was honestly just excited to be able to put something that technically (kind of) worked up.

As long as you got inspired and made something you're proud of, that's what matters most! And after the jam you can add all those extra features, who knows haha!
