Really creepy story. I love that on the first choice there is "Go home" choice :D Made me laugh. Getting the artifact and returning with knowledge seems like it fits the theme too. Well done

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! And I would honestly just go home if there was a skeleton rising from the floor and I was alone in a dungeon, so it felt natural to add the option lol

Interesting entry with nice sound design. Reminded me of some of the games I played growing up in the 80s.

One small thing of note: I played with headphones on and I started to find the sound that plays when you progress the story to be distracting from the story and other sounds going on after a while.

Developer

Thank you for playing. I might be able to add an option turn off or lower the volume of that

Submitted

One thing that can sometimes help with a repetitive sound is to change the pitch of it ever so slightly each time so it doesn’t seem as repetitive.

But I wonder if a less ominous sound would work, like the turning of a page or just a click.

Still a very cool mood with all the sounds, art and story!

Incredible to have been made in a week! The prose is great and combined with the visual style successfully transported me into the world. Going to the cabin to make friends and harvest tubers was a highlight ^_^

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! The tubers were the real main characters.

I love the art. I got ending 2. Honestly was really cool, Its seems so long too, that is a lot of writing to have 5 different endings. Super impressive for a week of work.

Developer(+1)

Thank you man, that's my favourite ending. And yeah, it was worth it but I think I'll have to make my scope smaller next time, I've been a complete potatoe since I finished it lol.

totally valid, be proud of what ye made

Very cool!
I enjoyed the art style very much. Reminds me of a book called "Vermis" if you've seen it?

Developer(+1)

Of course, I have the three books!!

they are so good! I found that someone made a game from the books (since they are game world building books) and it was pretty cool. I recommend.

Interesting game, not much of a fan of visual novels but the spanish version intrigued me since I am trying to learn it.

The art style and sound fit together very well. I only got to one ending witch I assume is "the ending"
My guess is that the idea behind the game is to have courage, tho I may be wrong since I haven't explore other endings.

My spanish is not great so I can't say that I understood everything I have read =).

The story is nice, it reminds me of a recent book I read and enjoyed.
I would mby skip some of the filler narration in some places as it doesn't really add any value to the story.

Overall is a great game that I enjoyed, good job and good luck!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the game. Yeah dude, play the other endings, they're quite different. I'll have to agree with the filler narration, it was kinda hard for me to know what to include or not, so I'll take note for next projects. And I tried to keep the writing on the simpler end cause I don't write much, so I'm glad you tried the spanish version, there's probably some grammatical errors I didn't catch in both languages tho.

Also, did you try the web version? I think in some operative systems it looks crisp and in others blurry, I still don't  know how to solve that.

Submitted

I only tried the web version, so I do not know if it looks different on other OS's.

I enjoyed this one! The art style is very nice, I got four endings so far. I liked that the best ending I got was when I decided to be brave and be kind. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you dude! Glad you enjoyed it. Did you find any serious spelling errors or anything in general you think could be improved? I had to run to make the translation.
Also, I'm downloading your game right now. I already love the itchio page. It's also kinda funny that so many games have some kind of eye theme somewhere. Knowledge = Eye??

Submitted(+1)

I didn't see anything... but I'm not a native english speaker, so maybe I just missed them! Even IF there were mistakes, I think the game having two languages available is already impressive! I just default to english because I'm lazy XD

Yeah, everyone loves to have creepy eye balls looking at them πŸ‘€
