PSX+ Forest Pack: Models, Textures, Audio
A downloadable asset pack
These are assets from an unsuccessful game jam project. They are a little above proper Playstation One specs, but still embody the retro style. A little extra polys added in for aesthetic purposes.
Pack comes with tree, plant, and rock models with textures. Tree leaf and bark textures can be mixed and matched for more variation.
Audio files include a day time loop, night time loop, and wind through trees.
3d models: .fbx and a master .blend file
Textures: .tga, .png
Audio: .ogg

Hi, I really love these assets and the ground foliage is really well done. I was wondering if I can use them for my second releasing game which will be called Cinderline. I will make sure to give you credit. Its a Y2k game set to release in maybe late 2026 or early 2027.
Sure go for it. The screenshot looks great btw.
thank you I will be sure to present your craft well.
Thanks, looking forward to seeing how you use them!
As for the render, I did it in Unity using the Haunted PS1 Render Pipeline: https://github.com/pastasfuture/com.hauntedpsx.render-pipelines.psx, however, I actually make most of my games in Unreal.
I love the ps1 style youve got going with your pack its great. Ive taken some screenshots, ive been trying to learn how to make my own textures and was wondering if these were made using some texture ripping software, through pixel art, or just through lowered resolution of actual pictures?
Thanks! It depends on the texture--sometimes I use photos I take or find on texture website and modify/shrink them, other times I just do it by hand i.e. pixel art. I also use a program to quantize the color to mimic PS1's limited color palette: https://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Graphic/Graphic-Others/Color-quantizer....
Hope this helps and good luck with your project!
