Are you okay with people remaking or modding Kamala-Tale if they learn how to do it?

Edit: after looking back into this, it falls into parody law. Due to it not using any trademarked content, and only having artistic similarities to Undertale, it is legal. One example of something like this is Weird Al making parody songs, or the 1987 film Spaceballs being a parody of the 1977 film Star Wars.

Bought the game and played it twice, had a grand ol time. I would have paid full price happily to support you cause i was holding out hope for it to get onto steam, but tbh i feel like this is just another benbo quest moment of steam surpressing peak gaming so i only bought it just now during your Tariff Sale. Very nice of you to do the tariff sale btw, ik its mostly part of the joke but it is very considerate of you. I wish there was a second route and more secrets, and maybe more cohesion in room design so that way the sight gags could be funnier, but the game still put a smile on my face and it is a shitpost, im perfectly fulfilled as is. Enemy design and attacks are fun, the final boss is nothing to sweat about difficulty wise but it still had me losing my mind in how funny it was, and the music even if its the equivalent of undertale Silvagunner rips still have many fun tunes. I can tell you put some genuine effort into this, a hell of a first game to be sure. If you ever manage to get the game on steam someday, I'll happily buy it again, i hope you keep making games dude
Thanks for the kind words! Glad this game is still enjoyable even after the election has already passed. Wished we could've done more routes as well, but I'm happy with our joke against that. At the very least I regret not having any weird random secrets.

Do you know who toby fox is? Lol
1 - Undertale uses the 8BitOperator font, which is open source.
2 - Yeah, it looks similar, but it uses its own panels, dialogue, and even the font for the logo. Undertale's menu is just a black screen with text, which is not unique at all to it.
3 - It's changed, and it's not Frisk.
4 - Original songs, just using the same soundfonts.
5 - There is no "Undertale soundfont". All soundfonts used in Toby's music are from other people, or even other games (Like the THInst soundfont, from Touhou).
6 - Ok.
Some stuff might look the same but it's its own game. There is no assets from Undertale (they have stated that themselves). If you'd like, you're more than welcome to support the game by buying it, but it's never going to be free.
Recently I've had to say goodbye to my best friend. It's going to be a long time until we can see each other again. As we waited for his bus together, we just sat there as time passed, watching the sky shift from orange to pink to blue then black. I teared up, but did not let myself cry.
The next day this game made me sob hysterically

I did watch a gameplay (this was blurred) but there was an 18+ joke on West. Shouldn't you have a warning in the description or/and in the game for those things (or another option that doesn't lead to that? Lol it's still funny, but still.

This game was hilarious!
Removing the option to fight or "prosecute" sorta detracts from the entire point of Undertale, which is choice.. 3/10. +2 because the Trump battle isn't unbearable.

i thought the game was funny asf, and very entertaining just in the little snippets i seen as i skipped thru a playthrough.
main reason im asking this is because im a conservative, and a playthrough i watched said it is by "Gamers for Harris" and i dont want my money goin towards my opposing beliefs buuuut if its just goin towards the creators, ill buy it.

It used to be 1,000 hours, with actually about 1.3 million assets, and about a quarter of that being loaded on screen at the same time. This unfortunately made players go CRAZY, so we cut it down to about 1 hour. Hope that's okay, and, if you feel like that's too short: Just play it twice! Some may say, it's just that nice!
If this is true. Why not make it its own version? I think it could be fun to enjoy all of the content assuming you dident just straight up delete it, however I’m not a game dev so I wouldn’t really understand the logistics of running a second version anyways.

How are you supposed to beat the last boss? I keep running out of healing and you can't do anything to him but dodge his attacks and inevitably I get nailed by them and die.
It's an 'endurance' battle. You have to dodge as good as a President would! Believe in yourself, have faith, and stay determined!!!
Would you ever consider porting to MacOS? This game looks absolutely phenomenal and I love what you guys have done by spinning the framework of Undertale into political satire. I just would love to play it myself rather than watching lets plays. Thanks :)

It is generally considered a violation of copyright law
In what way? Kamala-Tale uses Undertale's themes and gameplay as a means to give commentary on not just American politics, but even Undertale itself (Ben Franklin saying the Genocide route sucks), which puts the game squarely in the realm of fair use. While its art, music, and other aspects are SIMILAR to Undertale, the important distinction is that it ISN'T Undertale, and the only shared aspects come from the nature of it being a parody (i.e. the track "White House" resembles "Ruins", but that's part of the joke. If it didn't resemble the original work in some way, then it wouldn't be a parody.)
