I woke up this morning to something that seriously worries me.

A track titled “Dreaming” was published on my Newgrounds account, but I did not upload it.

Here are the facts:

• I did not upload this MP3 file;
• I did not write anything in the “Description” nor “Author Comments” sections;
• I did not add screenshots, tags, links or software info;
• I did not put it in any playlists in which I list the music genres I produce.
• The upload time shown was 10:08 p.m. EST, while I was asleep and it was 4:08 a.m. for me;
• The track is not mine. It belongs to Gakuen, I recognized it clearly when I listened to the MP3 file;
• The page was missing elements that I always include when I publish music or any other content.

There is another important detail.

On the audio page, it was stated that the track can be used freely without any consent. This is not how I handle music at all. I always ask permission for external use, and I would never set such terms, especially not on a track that isn’t mine in the first place.

Because of all this, something clearly went wrong.

I am not accusing anyone, and I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but I needed to make this public for transparency and to avoid misunderstanding.

I am asking Newgrounds Audio Moderators to please look into this and determine what happened.

For now, I just want clarity. I’m really confused.
