Adding `postgres_types` library as a dependency

Run this command in a terminal, in your project's directory:

cargo add postgres-types

To add it manually, edit your project's Cargo.toml file and add to the [dependencies] section:

postgres-types = "0.2.9"

The postgres_types library will be automatically available globally. Read the postgres_types library documentation.

The test suite requires postgres to be running in the correct configuration. The easiest way to do this is with docker:

Install docker and docker-compose.
1. On ubuntu: sudo apt install docker.io docker-compose.
Make sure your user has permissions for docker.
1. On ubuntu: sudo usermod -aG docker $USER
Change to top-level directory of rust-postgres repo.
Run docker-compose up -d.
Run cargo test.
Run docker-compose stop.
