For months, Michigan State Attorney General Dana Nessel has been cracking down on free speech by prosecuting 11 people with felonies over their participation in the Gaza Solidarity Encampment—all at the behest of U-M's regents, who are desperate to protect the university's investments in genocide. On the week of April 21, Nessel partnered with the Trump Administration to drastically escalate their attacks on the First Amendment. On Wednesday, April 23, Nessel brought in Trump's FBI to raid the homes of students and community members who have spoken out in solidarity with Palestine. On Thursday, April 24, Dana Nessel's team had a student jailed for allegedly violating his bond conditions, when they were in fact simply going between classes. In her eagerness to support the zionist genocide of Palestinians, Nessel is recklessly and dangerously leading the Trump Administration's assault our rights. Tell Dana to stop attacking free speech and drop the charges now!
