I am _Brittany_Bee__ Triathlete, Army veteran, Mother, Student, and Survivor Member of the National Coalition to End Child Marriage in the United States. Supporting non-profit organization Unchained at Last. I use my public platform to help End Child Marriage in the United States by using Triathlon to raise awareness. In 2013, my parents forced me into a marriage to my childhood abuser. A legal nightmare I could not escape via divorce until 18 years old. Parental consent means consent from the parent NOT the informed consent of the child. When I escaped, I was homeless. I managed to get on my feet, obtain my GED at age 21, and join the military. As a survivor, I have personally experienced the harmful impacts of child marriage in my life. Including homelessness, alcoholism, anxiety, and PTSD. That is why I have dedicated my public platform and 3,000 miles swimming, biking, and running to End Child Marriage in the US. I have qualified for the USAT National Championships.
