These loopholes prolong Russia's ability to sustain its illegal invasion, while imposing immense costs on Ukraine and its allies.

Additional sanctions on Russian state-sponsored propaganda are also essential. Massive disinformation campaigns directed and funded by the Kremlin are designed fuel extremism and promote disunity, which represents an immense threat to our democracy.

I'm writing to urge the Department of Defense to expand the scope and scale of military assistance to our Ukrainian allies. Ukraine’s fight against tyranny has become critical to our own national security. We must drastically increase our military aid and strengthen security cooperation with Ukraine, or risk falling behind our adversaries.

In particular, Ukraine urgently needs additional air defense systems, long-range missiles, and advanced electronic warfare capabilities. Delaying these critical tools would only prolong the conflict and lead to further escalation by emboldening the aggressor. It risks allowing Russia to use Ukraine, its resources and its people to pose a far greater threat to the United States and our NATO allies. 

Furthermore, by working closely with the Ukrainian military, US forces can learn invaluable lessons about the latest battlefield strategies, including effective production and use of inexpensive FPV drones to counter modern militaries.

Ukraine is defending the entire West from the tyranny of Putin’s regime, which has made it clear that Russia’s ambitions extend far beyond Ukraine. Putin wants to use Ukraine as a stepping stone toward undermining and defeating the West. Hence, supporting Ukraine is a critical matter of US national security.

The incredible resilience and success of Ukraine's military in repelling Russian advances have proven that military aid to Ukraine is a great investment. The sooner Ukraine receives more advanced military assistance, the sooner it will defeat Russia and bring peace.
