These are a good collection of compositions that I feel are not only my top 5, but are also a good showcase of my love for diversity when writing.

Gridlock

This is a composition I made to compliment the motion graphic artwork of Justinleduc. Justin’s Motion Graphic work is incredible and this one was just so badass so I really wanted to come up with something to represent that badass feeling the hooded skull creature was giving off.

Motion Graphic Composition (Justinleduc)

This is a composition I made to compliment the motion graphic artwork of Teunvanderzalm. This artwork immediately connected with me. Maybe it’s the beautiful vibe of the nebulas or the fact that I am such a huge astronomy and astrophysics nerd that I knew I had to compose some music over this incredible motion graphic. I ended up taking a more ambient and chiller approach but I already know that I will be composing other nebula motion graphics Teunvanderzalm has made for future motion graphic compositions and those will be a completely different approach compositionally. 

For this composition I ended up using Spitfire Audio’s Olafur Arnold’s Composer Toolkit, and Spectrosonic’s Omnisphere 2

My plugins were: Fab Filter, Izotope, Eventide, and Stock Logic Plugins.

Motion Graphic Composition (Teunvanderzalm)

This is a music composition I made to compliment the motion graphic artwork of Polygonatic. Yes another music composition for Polygonatic, I just love his work and it seems to blend so well with my own style of writing when I’m in that EDM/Indsutrial writing mode. I just had to!

For this composition I ended up using Native Instruments Analog Dreams, Xfer Records Serum, and Splice Samples.

My plugins were: Fab Filter, Eventide, and Stock Logic Plugins.

Motion Graphic Composition (Polygonatic) 4

I moved these motion graphic compositions to Tuesdays! This is a music composition I made to compliment the motion graphic artwork of Florian DKS. His work just flows a little smoother than other motion graphic artists and the attention to detail on this short piece was what drew me in to compose over it!

For this composition I ended up using Native Instruments Analog Dreams, Xfer Records Serum, and Splice Samples.

Motion Graphic Composition (Florian DKS)

This is a music composition I made to compliment the motion graphic artwork of Thibaultzeller. His motion graphic artwork is incredible and gave me a real cyberpunk vibe, which I personally loving using for inspiration to write music to!

For this composition I ended up using Eurobass, Native Instruments Analog Dreams, Xfer Records Serum, and Splice Samples.

Motion Graphic Composition (Thibaultzeller)

This is a music composition I made to compliment the motion graphic artwork of Orenhaskins. Oren's motion graphic artwork is just so inspiring and has this smooth characteristic that was a joy to compose some music over. I had a ton of fun writing this one, and honestly watching his artwork over and over again never gets old. If anyone has questions on what I used to compose the music, feel free to ask.

This is a music composition I made to compliment the motion graphic artwork of Polygonatic. Abel is a good friend of mine and I have always felt inspired by his artwork, whether it be motion or still. This one was a fun experiment to try a synthwave style and clearly the video was great inspiration for that style! If anyone has questions on what I used to compose the music, feel free to ask.

This will be my last motion graphic composition, I really enjoyed diving into the motion graphic community and I want to thank every artist who was so kind about me using their artwork to compose to. With newer projects on the way, this extra time during the week will go towards those. More info on them soon! This is a music composition I made to compliment the motion graphic artwork of Maxtiberghien. Once he told me this his motion graphic was based on Isaac Asimov's "The Last Question" I immediately wanted to write something for it, but decided to leave it till the end. I am personally a huge Asimov fan and Maxime's Motion graphic is such a cool representation of "The Last Question"!

Motion Graphic Composition(Maxtiberghien)

Night City was created in homage to the original Cyberpunk Board Games created by Mike Pondsmith. It is also releasing right around the release of Cyberpunk 2077 created by CD Projekt Red with consultation from Mike Pondsmith. I have always been a sci fi fan, but cyberpunk has always had this gloomy edge to it, that had resonated with me. I was always trying to capture the sound of the desolate buildings and the blinding neon lights, so “Night City” became what I had always imagined the sound to be in my head. The rhythms I introduced and the driving distorted bass patterns are all a reflection of the life of Night City and what it would feel like to live in that futuristic city. I hope that the atmosphere in this song, and the driving nature of the synthesizers will resonate with you. This song is more of an approach to capturing a vibe and mood of a cyberpunk city, than to try and be a song without a purpose.
