I just found the new post from the new developers regarding the code distribution, which will go to the creator to distribute to the backers. I’ll try reaching out to the creator this time regarding the game code.

Funny enough, I stumbled upon their Twitter/X account a few years ago but didn’t realize they were in charge of the game. I remember seeing them post content for SWT back then, but don’t see them no more.

I'll definitely try and ask the new developers. Doesn't hurt to try.

I preordered the game prior to it being cancelled and was never refunded. Is there a possible compensation or could I receive a key for the new game in recognition of my support for the original project? Is the free steam key mentioned only regarding backers? I don't know how I'd even get in contact because I am not a backer nor know their email.
