the latter half of the main story is also marked as mature-only, due to dark themes. i thought it would be fucked up if the consensual sex was censored but the particularly violent scenes were not, so i made it like this.

police brutality
CAPTOR ROUTE: an undercover witch cop captures timber, putting magical cuffs on his wrists and a collar around his neck. at one point he pulls the collar by a chain to force timber to the ground. he then takes him to a rabbit named senbei, where he is held in a dungeon and tortured for 6 days. at the end of the route, when he releases timber, he shoots him in the leg (again with magic) to ensure he won't be followed.
blood, gore (mild)
CAPTOR/TORTURE ROUTE: timber's neck is wounded by a magic shock collar which has exploded due to overuse. you only see the aftermath, but the skin where the collar was is all flayed, and his neck and the front of his shirt are drenched in blood during this scene.
sexually-charged torture (no sexual assault, just undertones)
TORTURE ROUTE: timber is chained by the wrists and neck to a workout machine in a basement/dungeon and held captive there for 6 days. he often taunts his captor (senbei) with suggestive dialogue, trying to discern whether he's doing this for some kind of sexual thrill (he's not). senbei's narration and some of his dialogue implies an intense attraction to timber, even if he isn't really conscious of those undertones in the moment.
at one point, senbei lifts timber's shirt to inspect his body. timber is nervous that senbei is going to take off his pants next (he doesn't).
most of the torture is just questioning him over and over, withholding food and water, and using a magic shock collar to punish/control him. there are two scenes where senbei is actively punching him while he's chained up. this is the heaviest route, so... please take care!
starvation and hunger-related topics
a running theme of the story is that the wolves often do not have access to enough food to survive. timber mentions being willing to skip meals for the sake of his family, and during the torture route he explains that his body no longer feels hunger due to his irregular diet.
references to genocide
~20 years ago, rabbits set up a town in the wolves' territory and started killing them in "self-defense". timber's dad was a victim of one of these killings. during the torture route, senbei explicitly says that he wants to exterminate the wolves.
non-consent/rape (within a dream) [optional side content, not part of the main story]
18+ TORTURE EPILOGUE: senbei enters his dungeon to visit timber in the middle of the night. he kisses him to see what it feels like, but timber is revealed to have been awake the whole time and taunts him for doing this. senbei interprets his taunting as an invitation to do more, so things escalate into actually having sex. timber is fully bound during all of this, and his response is a mix of protest and further taunting. it's unclear whether he's enjoying it at all, despite what senbei's narration might suggest.
in the end, senbei wakes up from his sex dream. this is all implied to take place after timber has already been released and senbei doesn't have access to him anymore.
strangulation, attempted murder, violent fantasies
BLACK RABBIT ROUTE: timber is grabbed by the throat, lifted up off the ground, and held there until he can get free.
during this scene, senbei has somewhat graphic thoughts of causing timber much pain using his pocket knife (he doesn't get to act on these)

I found this gem while browsing around the NSFW side of Itch, but when I started it I immediately got invested into the writing and world. I started this without any experience from Nami's other works, and NWT alone made me look into their other stuff. [When I discovered that Nami was the one who created Bad End Theater, it immediately clicked as to why I loved the writing here so much, lol.]
Since NWT I've been slowly binging through Nami's other games just to get more info on the world due to how much this experience tickled my brain. I had a great time, and I can't wait to see more. <33

Encountered an unfortunate bug in relation to progress saving though. The music room doesn't seem to work properly on mobile and attempting to close and reopen the app reverted my progress to before starting the captor route. Still, great game and amazing story :)

I played this game yesterday and made a profile here just to comment on this game.
Let me say: Oh my God! I had no idea what anyone was talking about when they said "trauma". The first couple routes in this game really take you for a loop, thinking that the stuff that Timber went through would only be mentioned or implied. I was wrong! To the creator of this game, you are really good at making morally ambiguous/complex characters because I fully support Timber and feel horrible for all that he went through. I hope that spoiled rabbit (I refuse to call him by his name) gets his due in the future. But anyways, this game was great! I cannot wait to see more!
YESSSSSSS the story it's peak I really surprised
Initially i wasn't putting much expectation on this game ,i didn't know it was by the same creator of starry flowers ( another amazing game btw ) , just came for a quick fun yk? but after playing through all the content... holy shit!!!
This was my first time seeing these characters but the writing made me instantly get attached , they all have interesting reasons and convictions behind what they do , and i really like the moral dilemma at play , the wolves have to kill and scavenge to not die from hunger , nature at its prime , but on the other hand you have the rabbits who got killed , their history was built on violence and stealing land ( WHICH ALSO MAKES MORE INTERESTING THE SKIN TONES SELECTION... ) but were innocent and didn't deserve to die, take that and add a deranged extremist with wealth , and that's sure to blossom into a real enthralling series of event.
The music on this project is also amazing!! Teto really caught me off guard but she was a damn good addition to this games soundtrack. After finishing it and listening to the songs in the gallery it made me realise how much they were improving the playthrough and how they can present the vibe so well. I especially found VERY cool how certain songs were distorted or altered versions of others , its such a minor detail but one that with so little can tell so much.

The story and pacing is what really motivated me to write this, the route system in this game is something i've never personally seen, each route being canonical , and in chronological order up until captor is something you don't know until later, but in retrospect , makes so much sense why they were locked and that is a REALLY , REALLY AMAZING THING. The way that you start hating this guy cuz no matter what you do you will die and in the end discover he really wanted to kill you fr , to completely warming up to him and understanding his motivations by the end of the wolf route , to absolutely despising senbei and getting the full picture of glades situation is by far the most impressive part of this incredible game.

This has been one of the best visual novels I've ever seen. I cant stop thinking about timber and twigs being romantic 24/7, i'd stay up late replaying the wolf route and read the gallery again and again if i had to! 10/10 hidden gem XD
Came because it said 18+ but this game was amazing, especially from a writing standpoint. I never really knew this series or its creator, but this got me invested into a lot of their stuff. The narrative and backstory were amazing, and the ending with Twigs and Timber is so sweet. Holy shit It's been a while since I've felt this way about a story.
I kind of just hopped on Itch.IO in the NSFW section for a hunch but ended up finding this and damn am I lucky. You got all my support for the sequel. Looking forward to it!
I came for the Porn stayed for the story this game is one of the best games I have played this month and the Nsfw parts are out of the way which was nice as I could play the game and later look at the images but by the end of the game I actually really enjoyed the narrative didnt really care about the porn anymore and just wanted to play more of this creators games and wonder when I will see more media with timber. That is all i have to say well I guess ill be online in another month internet is very limited where i am and I need to use tor anyways you guys dont die would be tragic.
it's really cool that it saves the names you choose from the playthroughs. I named the rabbit from the first route Opal and just got really excited when I saw the name pop up again in the black rabbit route.
another absolutely beautiful game !! this is my first time commenting on any of them, but I just feel so overwhelmed with pure emotion playing through this. Ever since I first came across Syrup and the ultimate treat these games are such a huge part of my life, and it's taken me too long to come back to them and just bask in how beautiful the art, the characters, the music, the stories, the worldbuilding, absolutely everything in them is full of so much heart and just so much. I remember back when playing Starry Flowers just crying over Pastille and his character and seeing him again and everything new learned about him, and now with Timber I just feel so emotional about his story, his relationship with Timber the Horrors with Senbei and his mother and how complicated that relationship is I just feel so many things and it's just something no other artist/author (i'm not really sure what game designers call themselves) could come up with.
Love this game so much! Admittedly i am driving myself CRAZY trying to figure how to get the third wolf ending, but its such a good game that I'm having fun coming back and going through the routes again!!
So basically for the third wolf ending just do the love options until the sleeping bag part then do yeah that's fine
