Paul co-founded OMEGA to address the dire need to discover and keep America's top math students engaged in mathematics. Paul was a member of the first USA team to participate in the IMO in 1974, has written problems for the AMC and other competitions since 1985, coached several IMO teams, and currently serves as the deputy director of the Putnam Exam.  In 2013, he co-founded Proof School with Dennis Leary, creating the only secondary school in the country dedicated to the education of “math kids”.

As Executive Director, Yia ensures that OMEGA’s innovative programs engage and nurture America’s top young mathematicians. A graduate of Harvard University, Yia brings an extensive background in educational programs and nonprofit management, with a focus on program implementation and strategic planning. With a keen eye for evaluating high-quality educational programs, Yia has helped to build the National Museum of Mathematics, served on visiting accreditation teams for the Western Association of School and Colleges, managed National Science Foundation (NSF) grants, and created numerous enrichment programs.

OMEGA’s engaging math programs are the brainchildren of Creative Director, Dr. Zuming Feng.  A renowned educator and mathematician, Zuming coached the US International Math Olympiad (IMO) team for 15 years, has taught high school for over 30 years (at Phillips Exeter Academy and St. Mark’s School of Texas), and has organized numerous math enrichment programs and camps all over the country, mentoring many highly talented students.  Zuming has been recognized nationally and internationally with several master teacher awards.

Overseeing the content creation for OMEGA’s programs is mathematician, mentor, and mathlete, Evan Chen.  An IMO gold medalist and USAMO national winner (ranked 2nd), Evan has extensive experience with math competitions and brings a wealth of creativity for designing high-caliber math content.  Evan holds a Bachelor’s and PhD in mathematics from MIT and has received numerous awards, including the NSF graduate fellowship, MIT Akamai presidential graduate fellowship, and the Morgan prize honorable mention.
