I tried to install postgresql-plperl-8.1package.
It asks for a few dependencies.
i did yum install of those dependencies but says "nothing to do"

Can you tell me whats wrong with it?

You need the postgresql-plperl-8.1 (I assume, you are a Debian-User with
PG 8.1). Install this package first and then CREATE LANGUAGE.
