How does it work?

• Speaker identification: Any of your transcripts (automatically generated, human-reviewed, and uploaded) will now automatically* detect and label different speakers in your video. Once your transcript is ready, it will automatically separate out into Speaker 1 and Speaker 2 or suggest speaker names based on metadata.
  * You can disable this feature for individual videos or at the account level by going to Settings → Account
  
• Speaker library: Head to your Settings and scroll down to Speakers on the left-hand panel to add or edit speakers for your library. Once added, you can easily label speakers in your transcript or add them to your library directly from updates to the transcript.

With these changes, your transcripts will have greater readability and accessibility, making it simple to track who said what and keep your audience engaged from start to finish.

Most Wistia videos are horizontal. Most social clips are vertical. And that’s where the awkward crops (and tiny faces) show up.

With AI auto-frame (in beta), Wistia automatically detects the people in your horizontal video and reframes them into a vertical layout that looks natural on mobile. And that means your speakers stay front and center.

When you turn it on, we’ll:

• Find the main speakers in the frame
• Center them in a vertical crop for a feed-friendly view
• Help you avoid awkward zooms and “where did their face go?” moments

👥 Works best for: talking-head videos like webinars, podcasts, interviews, and updates.

📝 Beta note: screen shares and dense visuals may still need a few manual tweaks.

What’s New

You can now view a real-time attendee list during your live webinars. Just click the viewer count to see exactly who’s watching, complete with names and email addresses. The list updates on its own as people come and go, so you always know what your audience looks like in real-time.

You’ll also spot two handy tabs: Watching for real-time viewers, and Banned for anyone you’ve removed from the event.

Why it matters

This gives you instant visibility into your audience so you can make smarter, more personal decisions on the fly. Plus, hosts can ban (and unban) attendees right from the panel if anything gets disruptive, keeping the experience smooth and distraction-free.
