SHRINES — A Dark Pilgrimage RPG

SHRINES is a dark fantasy tabletop roleplaying game about reformation, sacrifice, dwindling light, and the burden of every step forward.

You do not play heroes.

You play the Marked — beings bound to forgotten Shrines, condemned to return after death, and forced to wander through worlds collapsing beneath the weight of Essence, Escalation, and Ruptures.

Every encounter matters. Every resource is precious. Every mistake leaves scars.

SHRINES combines tactical, deadly combat with atmospheric exploration, meaningful consequences, and a world that reacts to the actions of those who walk within it.

It is influenced by the so called "Soulsborne" Video Games, philosophical Dark Fantasy themes and the classic tropes of exploration and dungeon delving. All coming together in a new System which is easy to learn and hard to master using a D6 Dicepool-System, Talents, Maneuvers, high mobility combat, a motivating Travel-System with some surprises guaranteed and an atmosphere  that drags you into the Worlds of SHRINES.

SHRINES - INITIATION is an episodic guided Pilgrimage with lighter rules and mechanics. 4 Episodes will release from June to September and will cover a Prolog to the Pilgrimage in FIRST FRAGMENT. FREE!

SHRINES - FIRST FRAGMENT are the Upcoming Quick Rules which will release on Oktober 10th 2026 and will cover all the Basics you need for the Pilgrimage and 4 pre-defined Marked. FREE!

SHRINES - CORE RULEBOOK the tome of it all. Make your own Marked and guide them through the next two new Regions of Drevalynn. Release planned for March 10th 2027.

SHRINES - SHRINEWARDEN'S GUIDELIGHT is the Game Master Guide filled to the top with tipps, tools and tables to build an atmospheric and unique setting for your pilgrimage. Make your own Regions imfluenced by the Domains and connect them to full blown new worlds. Learn about different campaigntypes and how to provide the best SHRINES-Sessions possible.
