Welcome to Steel Lung Studios. My name is Nikola, and I am a solo independent developer fueled by a passion for the golden era of 32-bit horror.
The Journey I began this journey with no prior experience—no coding background, no 3D modeling skills, and no roadmap. My goal was simple but daunting: to learn the ropes of Unity by building the games I loved growing up. I believe that horror is most effective when it is raw, mechanical, and mysterious, which is why I’ve dedicated my studio to the PSX-style aesthetic. From vertex wobbling to pixelated textures, I am learning how to craft dread "one scream at a time."
The Vision: "The Goliath" My debut project, The Goliath, is the result of months of trial, error, and late-night troubleshooting. It started as a challenge to see if I could make a machine feel alive—and terrifying. It’s a tribute to industrial decay and the crushing weight of atmosphere. Every shadow in the game represents a lesson I learned, and every sound represents a hurdle I cleared.
A Community-Driven Future As a first-time developer, your feedback is my greatest resource. Whether it's a bug report, a gameplay suggestion, or just a comment on how the atmosphere felt, I read it all. Steel Lung Studios is a one-person operation, but it’s the players who help the "lungs" keep breathing.
Thank you for being part of this journey from the very first line of code. Grab a mop, watch your step, and welcome to the facility.
