MARIE is a robotic development and integration environment focused on software reusability and exploitation of already available APIs and middlewares used in robotics. Its main purpose is to create a rapid-prototyping approach to robotics developments.

The Systems Biology Workbench(SBW) is a framework for application intercommunications. It uses a broker-based, distributed, message-passing architecture, supports many languages including Java, C++, Perl & Python, and runs under Linux,OSX & Win32. Fnorb is a CORBA 2.0 ORB for Python first developed by DSTC (http://www.dstc.edu.au). Our project will take the formerly closed Fnorb source-base and turn it into a pure-python ORB with up-to-date Python mapping and CORBA 2.4 compliance (ie POA support).
