mPDF
PHP library generating PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML
mPDF is a PHP library that generates PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files ‘on-the-fly’ from his website, handling different languages. It is slower than the original scripts e.g. HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but support for CSS styles etc. and has been much enhanced. Supports almost all languages including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew), and CJK (Chinese-Japanese-Korean). Nested block-level elements (e.g. P, DIV) including margins, borders, padding, line height, background colors, etc. Right-to-left languages are supported, with automatic detection of RTL characters within a document. Transposes tables, lists, text justification, and table cell alignment, as well as a full-text reversal for RTL characters. Automatically detects non-RTL characters and displays these in the original order. -

Dompdf
HTML to PDF converter for PHP
dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter. At its heart, dompdf is (mostly) a CSS 2.1 compliant HTML layout and rendering engine written in PHP. It is a style-driven renderer, it will download and read external stylesheets, inline style tags, and the style attributes of individual HTML elements. It also supports most presentational HTML attributes. PDF rendering is currently provided either by PDFLib or by a bundled version the R&OS CPDF class written by Wayne Munro. (Some important changes have been made to the R&OS class, however). In order to use PDFLib with dompdf, the PDFLib PECL extension is required. Using PDFLib improves performance and reduces the memory requirements of dompdf somewhat, while the R&OS CPDF class, though slightly slower, eliminates any dependencies on external PDF libraries. -

When it comes to parsing XML/CSV/JSON/... documents, there are 2 approaches to consider. DOM loading loads all the documents, making it easy to navigate and parse, and as such provides maximum flexibility for developers. Streaming implies iterating through the document, acts like a cursor, and stops at each element in its way, thus avoiding memory overkill. Thus, when it comes to big files, callbacks will be executed meanwhile file is downloading and will be much more efficient as far as memory is concerned. -

Laravel Cookie Consent
Make your Laravel app comply with the crazy EU cookie law
All sites owned by EU citizens or targeted towards EU citizens must comply to a crazy EU law. This law requires a dialog to be displayed to inform the users of your websites how cookies are being used. You can read more info on the legislation on the site of the European Commission. The newest Laravel package made by my colleagues at Spatie and myself makes your app compliant with that law. When the user clicks "Allow cookies" a laravel_cookie_consent cookie will be set and the dialog will be removed from the DOM. On the next request Laravel will notice that the laravel_cookie_consent has been set and will not display the dialog again. The legislation is pretty very vague on how to display the warning, which texts are necessary, and what options you need to provide. This package will go a long way towards compliance, but if you want to be 100% sure that your website is ok, you should consult a legal expert. -

A PHP API client package for NetSuite, pried from the NetSuite PHP Toolkit and made more consumable for modern PHP application development. All of the classes in the NetSuite\Classes namespace are code provided by NetSuite with a license allowing redistribution. The custom work provided by this library separates these nearly 2,000 classes out into their own files and allows the classes to be installed with composer and accessed using standard autoloading support. It allows configuration to be read from the environment, adds support to log requests and responses and provides a simplified client wrapper class (NetSuiteService). You can alternatively place your config in environment variables. This is helpful in hosted environments where deployment of config files is either not desired or practical. You can find the valid keys in the included .env.example file with sample values. -

This utility was developed as part of Intervals to deal with the problems posed by certain email clients (namely Outlook 2007 and GoogleMail) when it comes to the way they handle styling contained in HTML emails. As many web developers and designers already know, certain email clients are notorious for their lack of CSS support. While attempts are being made to develop common email standards, implementation is still a ways off. The primary problem with uncooperative email clients is that most tend to only regard inline CSS, discarding all style elements and links to stylesheets in link elements.
