Open Source Python Graphics Software

The OpenCMISS-Zinc Library (opencmiss.org/zinc), or Zinc, is a software library for building interactive graphical modelling and visualisation applications. Models are represented in Zinc as mathematical fields defined over domains, including finite elements with support for high-order basis functions, complex parameter mappings and time variation, and image-based fields. Further fields can be defined by mathematical expressions and algorithms on existing fields, including image processing filters. Zinc model data structures are dynamic, supporting interactive applications which programmatically create, destroy and modify parts of models.

This software provides libraries and command line tools for the processing and analysis of gray scale medical images.

GGI stands for "General Graphics Interface", and it is a project that aims to develop a reliable, stable and fast graphics system that works everywhere. We want to allow any program using GGI to run on any platform requiring at most a recompile.

Geomatrix, collection of C/C++ libraries to be used for symbolic description of n-dimensional geometric models. Operates internally with a representation that constructs complex objects based on primitives, allowing loss-less modifcation of models.

A graphical interface to manipulate images. The programming language is Python and wxPython is used as GUI.

Labcoat for SuperWikia Alpha fabrication manages new or revised fabrication processes. Its 'Cleanroom' applets allow codesmiths to access the lab environment, used to create semiconductors, substrate prototypes, chipset instruction blocks and other Labcoat projects. Our extensions in future releases will include UML support for C#/C++ conforming projects, import/export architecture schematics and refactoring sub-projects.

Matematica) performs math operations on vectors and matrices for smoothing, interpolation, convolution, image processing... VarData) manipulate a structure of points connected by links. Addraw) openGL engine. ElPoly) analyze mechanical properties of polymer and membrane like structures. Addyn) perform molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations and has a solver for 4th oder PDE. Avvis) perform all the operation of Matematica on different sets of data visualized on a Qt graphical interface. DrImage) image manipulation on the Matematica filters. The program is intended to use as less as possible external libs (optional: openGL, gsl, fftw, cgal, png, tiff, boost, MPI, Qt...).

GeoSciPy is a set of C and Python functions that provide an API for all aspects of Geoscience and Remote Sensing Applications. Functions include reading/writing of many data formats, images, vectors, ..., and processing of images, vectors, ... including map projections, ... The library is written C, using HDF5 as the file format for storage of all remotely-sensed data and ancillary data, as well as processed data. The C functions assume a particular format for the HDF5 file contents, and provide functions for reading and writing data to such files. There is also a Python API that provides a procedural as well as an object-oriented interface to these functions. A Python GUI for interacting with such datasets is also part of the project. While there are other open-source GIS, and image-processing packages available, this one is designed to be comprehensive, work on 3 major platforms, user-extensible, fast, and able to handle huge datasets.
