Syllog is a system for teaching various forms of logic, including syllogistic logic. It consists of a student-facing Java Applet that runs in the student's browser, and a teacher-facing, server-based logging facility for recording the answers given by students. The student-facing part simply poses questions, to which the student must provide an answer. The teacher-oriented logging facility then logs the answers anonymously for further investigation by the teacher.

bedevere provides a SWIG wrapper to the GNU Prolog compiler. Current emphasis is on Python support. Other languages supported by SWIG will likely be accepted as long as they do not interfere with Python support.

pyIRDG is a program written in Python to generate relational datasets in Prolog format. It uses data from the Internet Movie Database in combination with IMDbPY as backend. A graphical user interface written in pyQt allows the user to link multiple entities together as model for the generation process. The big four entities are Title, Person, Company and Character. Many attributes can be chosen for adding to the output .pl file. Three types of constraints on attributes are available to limit the output: an availability constraint, a range constraint and a value constraint. It works with both MySQL and PostgreSQL as database backend.

PyCDep is a tool to analyze include dependencies between files in C and C++ programs. PyCDep itself is written in python. It dumps all the facts in a prolog database which can be queried. Visualization is possible by dumping graphviz (.dot) files.

This project aims to be a easy-to-use toolkit of algorithms and utilities for semantic data mining. So far all algorithms are implemented as web services and we provide widgets for their use in the Orange4WS data mining platform.
