PANDA is a comprehensive and flexib tool for quantitative proteomics data analysis, which is developed based on our solid foundations in quantitative proteomics for years. Several novelties have been implemented in it. First, we implement the advantage algorithms of LFQuant (Proteomics 2012, 12, (23-24), 3475-84) and SILVER (Bioinformatics 2014, 30, (4), 586-7) into PANDA. Second, we consider the state-of-art concept of quantification reliability in this quantitative workflow. On the levels of spectra, peptides and proteins, PANDA works out a few quantitative filters and new scores for quantification confidence. Third, PANDA is designed for processing proteomics big data in parallel.

CS-Miner stands for Chemical Space Miner and is a software tool for navigating in chemical space of compound databases. ApiVizTEP is short for Application for Visualization of Target tissue in Electroporation and has been developed with medical and electrical engineering students in mind as target users. It could also conceivably be used in training of medical staff in preparation for malignant tumor treatment with the process known as electrochemotherapy. This well-researched and developed treatment has a high success rate and is being adopted by many medical institutions performing cancer treatment worldwide, creating a need for educational software such as ApiVizTEP to provide a graphic and interactive tool doctors and technicians can use to familiarize themselves with the processes of electrochemotherapeutic treatment. The aspect of electrochemotherapy this application allows you to study in particular, is perhaps the most important one. ExpTimer is developed as an easy-to-use timer to facilitate complex, multi-step experimental protocols. The advantages of ExpTimer are that it takes away the fiddling around with typical lab timers, which have to be reset after each action, and at the same time it shows you what to do next. You just enter your own protocol, press “start” and you do not have to worry about timers anymore, especially when you already have your hands full with your protocol. If something goes wrong during your experimental procedure, just press “pause” (to pause the timer) or “reset” (to start all over again). Of course, the program has a much broader area of application than experiments only.

This is a project we - ten students, 16 to 18 years old, and one teacher - are currently working on in the so called "Physik-Projektkurs" at school in which we build and program our own scanning tunneling microscope.
