Open Source Linux Storage Software

The aim of the project is to develop an open source iSCSI target with professional features, works well in enterprise environment under real workload, and is scalable and versatile enough to meet the challenge of future storage needs and developements.

WSNFuse provides an abstraction layer for wireless sensor networks, allowing to expose one or many WSNs by means of different access technologies(e.g.: filesystem, JMS, RMI, Smart-Spaces, etc.).Its plugin-based architecture allow users to develop and adopt thei own plugins and configure WSN fuse to better suit their needs. DNBD (Distributed Network Block Device) is a read-only and caching network block device.

Flexible, secure file-transfer utility similar to rsync achieving high transfer rates for both large and small files on networks with both LANs and WANs (networks with low or high latencies). Supports interactive batch as well as scripting operation.

JRF is a client/server application that allows to extend local storage to other computers running the JRF Server. It has been designed for ultra-simplicity, **not for security!** It does not request for authentication when accessing files on a remote server, nor does it prevent access to files or directories. It has been designed for already-secured networks (e.g. LANs or inside VPNs), where file-sharing setup is tedious (or impossible). Basic access configuration/restriction should be performed on the OS, by changing rights of the user running the JRF Server. It is like an insecure FTP-like file sharing runnning on a single TCP port. Its Java nature gives Java programmers access to remote files as remote `InputStream` and `OutputStream`, with the added value of optionally **compressing data exchange** to ease up network usage.

JabSync is a program intended to synchronize the rosters of two (or more) distinct Jabber accounts. It is written in Python and uses the jabberpy library.

MapDownloader is a customizable, utility for dowloading map tiles from various web services. Written in C++ using Qt Framework, it is cross-platform. Developed and tested on Windows 7 and Kubuntu 12.04. It's under DWYW License v1.0 (Do whatever you want)

apt-got builds and supervises a partial (or full) Debian mirror, that is filled on-the-fly by apt-get requests. But there's more! Its modular mirror engine is ready for customized mirroring algos. So you can easily make your own module! (Eg for apt4rpm)

SAN visualization tool, developed to build a complete map of a Fibre Channel SAN by tracing all paths from HBAs to storage logical devices. Currently it supports Brocade SAN with Hitachi Command Suite and HP Command View Advanced Edition devices, 3PAR StoreServ 7000, EVA and IBM TS3500 tape libraries.

This small C# (mono or MS.NET 3.5 required) console program generates text or html output which lists directories and files. Copies of directory or file names will be marked in HTML output. I use it to find files in a messy company network.
