Open Source Python Terminals for Linux

A portable library to access braille displays.

PuSSH is Pythonic, Ubiquitous SSH, a Python wrapper/script that runs commands in parallel on clusters/ranges of linux/unix machines via SSH, ideally where SSH is configured to use Kerberos, RSA/DSA keys, or ssh-agent as to avoid password authentication.

Intronet is a light weighted framework which allows user to work with remote Linux system and to do some administration tasks using web browser. It's fully usable in browsers at mobile devices such pda, modern cell phones, etc.

LTSP-ThinAdmin is a front-end for LTSP. It allows to manage thin clients configuration in a LTSP server, using a graphical interface. LTSP-ThinAdmin was designed for EduLinux (www.edulinux.cl) but it would have to work in any LTSP server.

lshell is a shell coded in Python, that lets you restrict a user's environment to limited sets of commands, choose to enable/disable any command over SSH (e.g. SCP, SFTP, rsync, etc.), log user's commands, implement timing restriction, and more.

MaSheD is here, Work from anywhere; MaSheD is a MAil SHEell Daemon in python. The daemon parses new mails recieved in the mailbox and executes them in a shell returning the output. Just send mails to your email address and MaSheD will do the rest.

PathPicker accepts a wide range of input, output from git commands, grep results, searches, pretty much anything. After parsing the input, PathPicker presents you with a nice UI to select which files you're interested in. After that you can open them in your favorite editor or execute arbitrary commands. Facebook PathPicker is a simple command line tool that solves the perpetual problem of selecting files out of bash output. Bash is fully supported and works the best. ZSH is supported as well, but won't have a few features like alias expansion in command line mode. csh/fish/rc are supported in the latest version, but might have quirks or issues in older versions of PathPicker. Note: if your default shell and current shell is not in the same family (bash/zsh... v.s. fish/rc), you need to manually export environment variable $SHELL to your current shell.

Pexpect is a Python module for spawning child applications; controlling them; and responding to expected patterns in their output. Pexpect can be used for automating interactive applications such as ssh, ftp, passwd, telnet, etc. Pexpect is pure Python. Plume is a complete set of packages to create and administrate a network of diskless computers used as X terminals. Workstations root file system is extensively based on Debian with as few new packages as possible.

PyLine is a shell that is designed for users who want a easier alternative to cmd, but it is in its earlier stages, so it may not have as many commands. Works on Linux and Windows, and may work on Mac.
