without looking to deep I'm impressed of the support of different OS's. However, what about a different license for cdrdao?
The GPL is not applicable for a project I'm working at. Did you consider this already? What about a double license or just the LGPL?

cdrdao uses code from several other GPL projects, including cdrtools, cdparanoia and mpg321. So GPL it is. What project are you working on ?
