Hello...
Today I released a new Codewars Server Version. With the help of Siron and Locke I fixed a lot of bugs in the VCCSP implementation and improved the whole sourcecode pertaining to the ANSI Code and Compilerwarinings. A list on the changings:

The source and a compiled version of the server can be downloaded on:

The new version of the server is already running on my private codewars server, where everybody is allowed to play and test their robots an visual clients for free.... read more
I made it. I set up the first codewars online game server for about 20 parallel robots and 10 visual clients. You can find information on the server on:
http://codewars.sourceforge.net
or
http://exrevel.homelinux.org
I hope some of you joins to play some matches.
Hi...
Well, there it is, the last release candidate of the codewars server 0.3.0. I fixed one or two bugs and implemented the logfile support for robots and visual clients, an important feature for internet server, I think.
I also fixed all warings which were put out by gcc while compiling with -WALL. I hope you will check out the new version and tell me about bugs or ideas you have on codewars.
You will find the new version on:

Well, one week has elapsed and I fixed all the bugs form the official buglist. Today i present you the second release candidate. The last features have been implemented. I hope there will be some people that checkout the new version and send there bugreports to me, or write them down in he codewars board.
Happy coding,
Timo Hallek
After the alpha version some weeks ago I will now present you the first release candidate of the codewars server 0.3.0 with its new threadmodel and its new communication protocol.
I hope you will help me to find all bugs as fast as possible so that i will be able to release the stable version soon.
Hi...
I'm proud to present you the first codewars development server in c++ which contains a working projectilestack. All the commands you need to play on the server are implemented yet. I styled a light threadstructure which makes the server a lot fast than all his antecessor.
You can nearly call it a release candidate but the bug and todo list shows you that there is still alot of work to do and it may take one to three month until I release the stable version. But this version is sufficient material if you want to get used to the new communication protocol. ... read more
I'm proud to be able to present the first development version of the codewars 0.3.0 server in C++. He supports the WASP 2.0 and you are already able to join your robot.
This version is not playable but the source is really small yet (1800 lines) and if you are interested in it and interested in the new byte-protocol you should have a look on it.
You will find a development changelog with download link in the codewars board. (http://codewars.ailabors.com)
Today we released two new modules which implement the codewars networkprotocols in perl and python. The python module is a test-version but updated frequently and the perl should be more or less stable. (I use it for my own robots)
All that stuff s available on http://codewars.sourceforge.net
We just strated to port the whole codewars server source to C++ to assure a better performance and to allow all the plans we have. There will be no changes on the protocols so your robots would not be influenced. The development of the perl version stops after the official stable release 0.2.2 the porting will take about 6 to 8 month.
Today it is codewars first brithday, today one year ago I wrote the first line of code. So I have a little present for the project, I added new downloads and screenshots to the homepage and changed the design a bit. I hope some of you will use codewars this year too and accept some changes in the server.
I also released the new version of the official Perl Visual Client, which supports the VCCSP v1.1 and a ANSIColor mode.
Today I released the new Visual Client Communication Standard Protocol, which now supports the Capture the Flag mode of the codewars server.
Today I released the codewars server version 0.2.1 on sourceforge.net. I fixed some threading problems and
added some support for the Visual Clients and Capture the Flag. I hope you like the new version and report the
bugs you find to me. Please view the README and the CHANGELOG befor editing the configuration files and starting codewars.
Today I released the german and english version of the WASP 2.0 as tar-ball on our project-page.
The new Network Communication Standard Protocol for the codewars server 0.2.0 is now available in german and english.
Today I released the new codewars server version which supports the new visual client and the new weapon and armor protocol and all new commands of the communication standard protocol. New modules for robot team death match and capture the flag.
Today I released the Visual Client Communication Standard Protocol in german and english, to download as tar.ball including two html-files.
The first stable alpha version of a visual client for the codewars 0.2.0 server was released today. A simple tool to watch matches over the network, statisticmode of the server isn't necessary anymore.
The development version of codewars 0.2.0 is available on our homepage http://codewars.sourceforge.net or http://codewars.ailabors.com it supports visual clients and all bugs from the bug-tracker are fixed!
Today I released the new version of the logfile parser logwars, which creates agreeable and informative statistics as htmlfile from the 'match.log' of the codewars server 0.2.0
Today I finished my work on the new official codewars homepage, which contains the whole documentation in german and english and the new NSCP and WASP and also some new screenshots and a download area. Please visit it... http://www.ailabors.com
Today I reactivated the codewars project. Test the old versions to get an idea of codewars. In the next weeks I will present you a whole new modular code with a lot of new features. I work alone on this project, so give me some time, you would not be sorry.
Well, what should i say... CodeWars has been halted. Timo Hallek which wrote the server and the wasp and 90% of ncsp and logwars has not enough time to do all the stuff the whole day through, he wasn't really supported and so he quits is job for the codewars core team. Perhaps the rest of the team will go on.
Today I released the 0.1.8 of our CodeWars server. Now Visual Clients are supported and all communication is based on the new protocol NCSP 1.8 I hope you enjoy the new version. This is the last in this formate, a new rewritten server will be available in a few weeks (0.2.0)
The first, perhaps stable, version of the codewars server 0.1.8 will be available in few days as tar-ball on Sourceforge.net, after this version the development on the server will be a bit slower because the whole source has to be rewritten and for 0.2.0 and will be improved by some C routines for a better perfomance. But the server-core-developer has not as much time as he needs for codewars and so it will take some time until a new version is released, the development of vclients, bots and other tools will not be affected by the slower development of the server.
