Release highlights: (since last release announcement)
* Added equal-cost round-robin multipath routing feature. If multiple
routes exist (or are specified), dcat will use as many of them
as possible for maximum load balancing. This extremely useful
feature can be enabled by the -e switch to the text client.
* Fixed saving of custom ports in URLs.
* Added Ctrl+C signal handler to console client. Supports forced
restarting of a thread using the Ctrl+C menu.
* Fixed FTP non-passive mode handling.
* Added proper parsing of Content-disposition tags.
* Added default config file path for text-mode client to be
$(HOME)/.dcat
* Redirection problems should hopefully be fixed (works with Java
download links from java.sun.com now)
* Added support to import broken downloads by other apps, like browsers.... read more

* More aggressive download algorithm; looks for and restarts stagnant threads.

Download Catalyst is a portable download manager that can accelerate and resume downloads from multiple sources, even through various proxies. This release contains many bug fixes and new features like SOCKS5 support, improved command-line interface, download stats calculation...

Download Catalyst is a multi-platform download manager that accelerates and resumes downloads resursively using concurrent threads, with an extensible API and multiple planned interfaces (both console and GUI). This release, though, only contains a text-based client.

This is a bug-fix release which eliminates many critical bugs in the 0.1 release.
Release date: July 5, 2004.

Changes :-
* Download files are now auto-renamed to avoid over-writing previously completed downloads (with same names).
* Download state files are now deleted after successfull completion.
* Fixed a bug that prevented HTTP-Proxy from working.
* Fixed a bug in Windows that lead to a crash in FTP downloading.
