I would like to install iCopy on Windows XP, but it has .NET Framework 4 Extended, which, according to information elsewhere, is the highest version of .NET Framework XP will support. Edit: One day later: I tried to run iCopy.exe on Windows XP, but Windows says: "iCopy.exe is not a valid Win32 application" so that's that.

Had the same issue and analyzed it. FIX: change mainfrm.vb as follows: ADD the two lines after Line 387: ElseIf chkPDF.Checked = False Then opts.ScanOutput = ScanOutput.Printer The block should be afterwards like this: If chkSaveToFile.Checked Then opts.ScanOutput = ScanOutput.File If Not My.Settings.FileAskWhereToSave Then opts.Path = My.Settings.FileSavePath End If ElseIf chkPDF.Checked Then opts.ScanOutput = ScanOutput.PDF If Not My.Settings.PDFAskWhereToSave Then opts.Path = My.Settings.PDFSavePath...
/copy commandline argument (or scanner-button-assignment) not working if standard is PDF. WITH FIX
I was able to fix the problem by deleting this folder: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\icopy</username> P.S. After clicking the "Export to PDF" button, it is impossible after that to go back to "print to printer". "Export to PDF" button apparently messes up config files in the "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\icopy " folder. The folder is not deleted by the uninstall. So even unistall/install fixes the issue. It would be nice if someone updated the program. </username> The patch provided DOES...

Dear Dawish, this should happen if you selected the option to register iCopy to the scanner buttons when installing it. When you press the button on the scanner, iCopy should then be listed in the available programs, and can be set as default. One can customize the behavior of this feature by looking at this page https://icopy.sourceforge.io/register-your-application-to-scanner-events/ Please let me know if you are able to obtain your desired feature.
Hello. Can iCopy function 'Fire-and-forget' style? I.e. 1. A user clicks 'Scan' button on a scanner. 2. That click INSTANTLY makes iCopy to order printing, so the user doesn't have to interact with the intermediate PC. P.S. Surprisingly many users (especially busy ones or elder ones) will definitely not use the software which requires unreasonable additional efforts (=problems). Thank you!
I will look into this and get back to you. Dear Marc, thank you for reporting your problem. What is the name of the error that you get? Can you paste it here? I'm afraid that it might be the type of error that I have never been able to solve with HP duplex scanners... Best Matteo

Dear Matthew, currently, iCopy doesn't store the selected number of copies on close, as I considered it to be a setting that changes frequently. You are the first user to ask about this, so I would suppose it is a specific request. If you really need to have 2 copies as default, I believe you should be able to modify the iCopy.settings file which is stored either in C:/Users/<Your username>/AppData/Local/iCopy or in the iCopy executable folder. There you should find a Copies parameter set to 1. Please...
I am trying to print 2 copies of any document that is scanned. Every time I close/open iCopy, it reverts to 1 copy. Is there a way to get this to save at 2?
Hi... Just wondering ir there would be any advise for me, please. Thanks in advance.
Hi, I guess I first had the default .NET version that comes on W10 then for backwards compatibility with some old software I still need to use I had to install .NET FW 3.5 ... Hi Carlos, I'm not an expert on this, but it struck me that in your log it's always NET-Version 2.0 instead of NET 4.0, which it's in my log. Maybe it could help to upgrade NET Framework 4 as descriped in the icopy blog: https://icopy.sourceforge.io/icopy-1-7-released/
I found in HP drivers ISIS Twain and installed it, however the same invertion. Also I tried to use a twain scan through Acrobat - it's okay. Again I've tried out with iCopy the res 75,150 and colors 8,16,32 bit. No luck.
Bit depth changing does not helping, Also saving to jpeg giving colors are inverted. Only two things allows make a properly scan - Set res to 300 and if I choose duplex scan. I noticied now, on second PC (Win7) where now scanner is connected (I do not remember if on 1st pc(winxp) if there was the same or not), there is no Twain interface availble. Only WIA. Could it lead to problem?

Dear noszone, I'm sorry for the late reply. This problem really puzzles me as iCopy only takes the bitmap result from the scanner and saves it to PDF/sends it to printer. Also the fact that changing the resolution fixes the problem is weird. Have you tried changing the bit depth from the settings dialog? Also, can you please test if the color inversion happens also when printing or saving to file (not PDF)?
Dear carlos, sorry for my late response. Do you confirm that the error is the same also for version 1.7?
Only now I discovered that scanning in 300 dpi is okay, if I choose less - colors are inverted. Any ideas please? Due the size of pdf file when 300 dpi is a huge. Also I've tried out of use iCopy on other computer with Win7 OS, same result, colors are inverted.

I followed the steps described by Martin : he is completly right. I did some testing on this: Installing 1.70 and going back version by version, I experienced this issue with 1.70, 1.66, 1.65 and 1.64. Only as I went back to icopy 1.63 it worked as it should. I then compared the icopy-settings-files of these versions which I had preserved, in each case after I tried to switch back to the printer output and closed the program afterwards: in 1.70 and other cases where it is not possible to switch to the printer output, in the section "LastScanSettings" it reads <scanoutput>PDF</scanoutput>...

Hi Matteo ;-) I have EXACTLY ;o), the same problem than Stefan. :o( I migrated from 1.6 to 1.7 and "boum". Many thanks beforehand if you help us either to modify something somewhere, or with a patch/update to overcome that important problem : iCopy 1.7 is not properly working, in fact !! (Perhaps, ther is a mistake in the dynamic config file update when changing options ??) Pierre
Please somebody give me an idea, how to fix this sitatiion, please.
I can add, that if I choose double side scan in iCopy - this is no happens. Also attaching a log file.

Hi All, Scanning in color from ADF give me 2nd page colors are inverted. For example, on second page it converts blue color to green, on 3rd blue to red. Does not matter it's a jpeg or pdf. Same time, scanning from another software - no problems. HP Scanjet 6350. I am using a version 1.6.4.25. Cause the latest version 1.7 could not launch. Hi Matteo Sorry for the late reply from me. I updated to the latest version (iCopy1.7.0setup.exe) to make sure I am not confusing anything. How do I do a log file? The feature request was to add a way to select the largest "paper size" on the list/options, rather than fixed paper sizes. So basically scan entire scannable area. However how does the "paper size" list work? Does it only show/filter what your scanner can do? Would it change depending on the printer? If that's the case then yes, if the...
