Seriously are all these people hating on AVC just mad because it offers to install some additional software as a form of advertising?? I mean I'm sure the developer needs to invest time and money to make such a awesome product in the first place, how else would he generate funds to support himself and his work...?? Anyways great job dhtprogrammer... I like how its so simple, just select MP3 and hit convert! very slick! Maybe integreate the Youtube Downloader in to AVC? 5/5 from me!

SPYWARE: Don't install this piece of ** . This will install 3rd party software, change your browser setup, automatically open pages when navigating. And It's a VERY SLOW converter. A total waste of time.

Installed this to convert AVI files produced by Adobe Premier to the more compact MP4 format. Installation did involve a number of product offers, which were easily and uneventfully declined. Norton Internet Security announced to me that its rating of this program is "good." Installation was trouble free. I dragged my small AVI file into the program, and it appeared as a row in a list of items to be converted, with MP4 selected as the output format by default. I selected a different output folder in options and triggered conversion. Conversion was very quick and at "medium" quality it produced a file that was 1 MB from my original 27MB AVI file. I played the file and it was flawless. Aside from the product promos, the business model of this program seems to be to request an upgrade for a paltry 5 dollars. I'm going to upgrade as soon as I've used it for a while. What's not to like about this thing? It does what it says, without any hassle, and apparently does it quite well.

Tries to install 3rd party software without telling you (does, however, post a EULA for each piece of software which alerts the wise to what is being installed - even if there is no 'name' on the UELA). Did not work correctly for me in converting a m2ts file to a flv. Will now uninstall and run malwarebytes and spybot.
