It serves as a “virtual monolithic repo” that aggregates the components (runtime, SDK, libraries, tools) needed to build the .NET SDK and platform. It is a central launching point for understanding, contributing to, or navigating .NET’s many open source subprojects and documentation. Contains policies, guidelines, documentation, and meta-project glue. Synchronization of subprojects into a unified view (Virtual Monolithic Repository). Issue triaging, contribution workflows, and governance linking across subrepos. Acts as an entrypoint/road map for .NET’s broad open source ecosystem.
