The ZeosLib is a set of database components for MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Interbase, Firebird, MS SQL Server, SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise and Adaptive Server Anywhere (previously Sybase), Oracle and SQLite for Delphi, FreePascal/Lazarus and C++ Builder.

I've been using this library for a while and it's very good. It has an active team behind it and with continuous updates. I have used it with mariadb and mysql; on both windows and linux.

Very usable database access replacement components. On Delphi, more stable than Embarcadero because it is still the same as when it started (no switch requiring major rewrites).
