Enterprises requiring a content delivery network solution to ensure secure, reliable content delivery with global reach

About Azure CDN

In online content delivery, user experience is everything. Azure Content Delivery Network (CDN) lets you reduce load times, save bandwidth, and speed responsiveness, whether you’re developing or managing websites or mobile apps, or encoding and distributing streaming media, gaming software, firmware updates, or IoT endpoints. CDN works seamlessly with Azure services, including Web Apps, Media Services, Storage, and Cloud Services. Apply CDN to your scenarios in just a few clicks. Azure APIs and developer tools give you the performance, reliability, and security you need to build global applications fast. Our APIs also give customers the flexibility to optimize features for availability and performance. Mitigate security threats on the content distribution network, such as distributed denial-of-service attacks. Optimize security by enabling HTTPS for your domain names, without additional cost or certificate management.

    "Excellent CDN for enterprises"

    Posted 2021-10-25

    Pros: Recommended for enterprises.
Excellent response times, 230% faster serving of images on azure blob storage, 200% faster serving of videos on azure blob storage.
Ability to use multiple CDN networks. Azure provides 3 CDNs :
    1. Akamai CDN
    2. Verizon CDN (edgecast CDN) : offers Standard and premium
    3. Azure CDN
Each CDN has its own special features which makes a multi-CDN infrastructure very fast.
Azure has more datacenters and regions than Google Cloud and AWS.
    Hence, very fast response times.
    Here's what tests say:
Test Image: 5MB image with 1M requests per second.
    Latency comparison:
Azure CDN : 5ms consistent latency
AWS CloudFront : 40ms consistent latency
Google Cloud CDN : 270ms fluctuating latency
Azure has more CDN nodes than any other cloud provider.

Cons: Azure CDN does not provide dynamic acceleration of web content, but the other 2 CDNs provide it luckily.

Overall: Recommended for enterprises serving images or any other content.
    Recommended for e-commerce sites.
    Recommended for any media assets.
