DPO Group is a leading African payment service provider (PSP) which has developed the technology to enable businesses and individuals across the continent to make payments online and offline with all currencies and payment methods, including major cards, mobile money and e-wallets. DPO Group currently works with over 100,000 merchants, including 50+ airlines, hotels, restaurants and travel agents all over Africa. Back in 2006 we identified a gap in the African online payments landscape. Merchants and consumers alike wanted the online arena to be open for payments, booking and purchasing. However, online payment processors were hard to find. We wanted not only to fill that gap but to do more than that. By enabling customers and merchants to transact securely online and offline we were able to facilitate the growth of local businesses, from airlines to hotels and eShops. During the years we have led the online payments industry into the centre stage.
