Office Timeline

Pros: The best part about Office Timeline is it can export timelines into various document & image formats. The intuitive interface for adding & customizing time elements is also amazing.

Cons: In my opinion the free plan has to had to some more advanced features for the people on the free plan to test it properly before buying the full version.

Overall: Overall experience has been great Intuitive interface, seamless integration & quick content generation has made work very easy.

Pros: Quickly creates impressive timelines with professional templates, Intuitive interface for adding & customizing timeline elements. Ability to auto update timelines when data changes in Excel.

Cons: Limited customization compared to building timelines from scratch, Lack of advanced product management capabilities.

Overall: Office timeline provides a quick way to build clean, professional looking timelines with excel linkage, Great for managers needing to summarize projects & events.

Pros: Office Timeline gives us the credibility of managing all the tasks in an office. Again, Office Timeline elaborates the roles and the procedures which individual employees require.
The good time management aspect of Office Timeline is another consideration.

Cons: Office Timeline improves the credibility of every activity, and there is accurate design and flawless operations.

Overall: Office Timeline ensures roles and procedures in a company, more so the office operations. It ensures timely attainment of different roles and operations.
Finally, Office Timeline supports people working together.

Pros: Intuitive user interface and easy set-up. Wide array of templates allows for different visual styles. Detailed guided instructions allow new users to get up and running quickly. Also easily integrates with Excel and other programs for added functionality. Good pricing and customer service.

Cons: Support is limited to an online database outside of normal working hours (but is excellent and responsive during business hours).

Overall: Office Timeline is a PowerPoint plugin that helps organizations of all sizes create great looking charts and project timelines. Set-up is quick and simple, and the application is feature packed and highly customizable for professionals in diverse fields. Pricing is fair and customer service is excellent. Highly recommended.

Pros: I liked how user friendly and intuitive the interface was immediately. It made implementation extremely simple for my team and as a result, little time was lost to training.

Cons: The customer service was intermittent and unreliable. We did not need it often, but when we did, it was difficult to receive consistent support that mattered.

Overall: I would recommend Office Timeline to any team of people looking to affect change while using data to make decisions.

More customization over some of the objects but in no way a show stopper for the tradeoff of simplicity and great output.

Nice to have ability for notes to show up over tasks/milestones when you hover over them so the Task/Milestones text can be minimal for a busy timeline.

Would like greater ability to save colors for future use in the Color Palette.

Both of these are on the roadmap.

Overall: Great Product.

Easy to use, easy startup, generally intuitive with training that filled in the gaps.
Ability to create your own templates is great and saves time future timelines/roadmaps.
Love the ability to generate a timeline straight from Excel/CSV/MS Project data.
Vast improvement in ability to quickly generate timelines as I was formerly using Visio and tried some other great products such as SmartDraw.

This product does what it is designed and marketed to do.

Pros: Ease of use, clarity of presentation, time saving aspects, seamless integration with powerpoint. I now use this software daily for all of my scheduling and project timelines and wonder how I did with out it.

Cons: It took a little while longer than anticipated to understand the 'manual changes' features, however, I contacted Office Timeline Pro and received prompt and helpful support which I was impressed with and I now understand how to avoid the problems that I encountered. I have been using office timeline pro for 4 months and have not needed to contact support again.

Overall: Very good, I will continue to use and recommend to my team. I have been told that the manufacturers are looking at how to alter the manual changes feature to improve ease of use.

Pros: Helps in turning quite complicated projects into simple visuals. Helps in saving lots of time and easy to use and present it in the way you wish to.

Cons: It has quite good competition from Microsoft's PowerPoint, but it all depends on the user and to which software the user is comfortable with.

Overall: It is a powerful presentation tool with a wide variety of features and I loved from its first look. It can create work with stunning looks. I would definitely recommend this!

Pros: I got to try both Office Timeline and Microsoft Project in a project management class I took a few semesters ago. Office Timeline is more specialized towards just creating detailed project management timelines (Gantt charts and similar), while Microsoft Project has some additional features that you might not need.

Also, Office Timeline has a nice free version that you can use if you only occasionally need to make a project planning presentation.

Cons: When I used it, you could only use Office Timeline by downloading it onto your Windows machine. It wouldn't work in a browser, and you couldn't try using it on a phone or on a Mac.

Overall: Sometimes, all you need is a nice polished infographic showing when your project is going to enter its next stage. Office Timeline is perfect for that.

Pros: Ease of use. Aesthetics. Ease of selecting tasks and milestones. Ease of positioning on PowerPoint slide.

Cons: It took some time to find how to change the time line itself from days, to weeks, etc. That was really the only edit I searched for that was less intuitive than other features.

Overall: Excellent. Very short learning curve. I was actually practicing with the free version trying to get ready for a potential project and quickly learned that I need more than 10 tasks and really want to use the swim lane feature as most projects have multiple phases with supporting tasks. I will recommend this software to any project leader or manager, not already using the tool. Very well done! Thank you.

Pros: Office Timeline is easy to use and very intuitive. Can quickly import tasks and milestones from excel and then tailor and adjust. It's easy to switch between templates to review options for presenting the information.

Cons: Office Timeline has improved each year that we have utilized the product.

Overall: We utilize Office Timeline to present the high level timeline in our project's Executive Steering Committee meetings. We used spend hours creating and updating the timeline by manually aligning boxes, arrows, colors, etc. Office Timeline has saved our team time a significant amount of time and helped produce a better and more professional product for our ESC updates.

Overall: Office Timeline was one of the best finds in my career. As a program manager interacting with senior leaders, I found it challenging to provide simple PowerPoint visuals of complicated multi-stakeholder projects. Office Timeline does exactly that. It is easy to use, saves me time and produces professional looking timelines. I would recommend this to any program or project manager who leads a large project with multiple dependencies.

Pros: There is a timeline for any kind of project you want to outline or bring in a clear visual format. The timelines are categorised by functionality which makes it easy for you to navigate and pick a template. The interface very easy to use and I didn't need a tutorial (although available) to get started.

Cons: There is no app solution for Mac users. I sincerely hope this will be made available really soon.

Overall: I can only imagine that the app solution is incredibly handy as the online solution already has a great interface. It's easy to use and lets you export it in different format and pick up anywhere you've left. Great for any managers.
