The Black Road - An Alien RPG Scenario

The job’s simple: steal a hauler from some local gangsters, strap a buncha of guns to it, and punch your way through a UPP-infested jungle hellzone known as the Black Road. Your target? A compromised dig site holding artifacts of non human origin. Get in, grab the goods, get out—Weyland-Yutani’s footing the bill.

But nothing stays clean on the fringe. With war drums echoing through the canopy, shadows shifting beneath the soil, and rival powers closing in, survival takes more than firepower. The jungle wants blood—and the road only runs one way.

If you’re reading this, thank you for checking out my free one-shot cinematic scenario for the ALIEN RPG. I originally wrote this adventure for Dragon Con ’25 as a follow-up to my first fan scenario, Trespass, with info design, strong layout, and a two-page “control panel” spread in mind.

As a seasoned Game Mother, I’ve tried to do the heavy lifting for you—providing easy-to-reference material, built-in pacing, a compelling central narrative, three-dimensional characters with agendas, investigative elements, and a brutal last stand finale. Info design is a passion of mine, and I hope you find the material here easy to read and use at the table. 

All maps include printer-friendly versions, and the package comes with character sheets—everything you need should be contained inside. I recommend a quick read-through for pacing. Along the way, I’ve included notes to help Game Mothers tie story elements to the different Acts of the adventure. To run properly this adventure requires the Alien: RPG Core rulebook.

 I’ll be updating and polishing future drafts on my itch.io as errors come to light and I fully plan on updated all my Alien RPG content for future versions of the game such as Alien RPG Evolved edition.

This is a free fan adventure and fully available to any and all that wish to use its contents for gaming or otherwise. The Black Road  is designed for 4-6 players. Required materials are the Alien RPG Core rule book. The adventure should take 4 hours to complete feel free to tweak or change any elements to suit your gaming table.
