MINOR SPOILERS
A very solid point and click puzzle adventure game in the same vein as Riven. Not only are the soundtrack and visuals incredible, but for the first half the game really expects you to learn it's lore and it's implications if you aren't playing in baby handhold mode (AKA Traveler Mode). In fact, pretty much the only critique I have is that the developer didn't quite follow through on the difficulty and depth that the first half of the game builds up. Like the game already has a super easy mode with a ton of hints, I don't think they also needed to add an auto translate tool that immediately invalidated the hours of translation I had done to get a full alphabet. Especially when the people who those decisions cater to are the casual fans who will play 10 hours then completely forget the game ever existed, whereas the hardcore fans are left with a slightly underwhelming experience.

Still, at the end of the day Neyyah is a much needed entry into a very niche genre that I very much appreciated playing through regardless of difficulty quibbles. And there are plenty of puzzles that will satisfy the average Cyan Worlds fan, as all of the puzzles are deeply integrated into the world. It's definitely going to be a recommendation from me, and I'm looking forward to this developer's next game!
