Do houses or loot respawn in this game? Or is there actually resources that you can run out?

I am at a site, I've built a town, and I have three iron deposits, but it keeps telling me I don't have enough mines to build a mining camp, can someone explain this to me?

If you feed settlers with rations, it seems the numbers just flip weirdly when they get over -1day of maximum lifetime. Until shortly before only lasting 2 days (instead of the maximum 3), you can feed them a single ration to fill up their life time completely, meaning something like 23h hours filled for 1 ration. As soon as they hit that 2 days threshold, you can instead give them 2 rations, for 1 day. This extra time does not increase if they go towards 1 days total lifetime, for e.g. like the first ex...

I didn't see a thread for dedicated bug reporting, so here I go. More often than not when I buy all food that isn't canned food, it expires as soon as time begins ticking again. Meaning it doesn't last long enough to be eaten right away. I checked when it expires before buying it. Like with bread, for example. Always says 3 days before I buy it. It says 3 days in my inventory. Then when I go to eat it or cut it into slices, it expires. Same thing has happened to other food items. This occurs in food store...
