We've released a small update to Rapture Pro Steam:

• Added Steam Cloud support - Users may now run the standalone Rapture Pro microhost and save presets into a Steam Cloud synced folder. Bring your favorite presets to any installation.

Note: Since Rapture Session does not allow saving of user presets, no Steam Cloud support is available for this instrument.

• We've updated SteamReg to the latest version for both Rapture Session and Rapture Pro

• We've refactored how our Legacy Synths Rapture 1.2.2 & Dimension Pro authorize. The Steam installer should now have less chance to hang on reinstalls or certain Windows security configurations.

Rapture Session and Rapture Pro continues to evolve: version 2.0.5 offers several new features as well as some fixes.


Including a graphic that indicates the instrument type has always been regarded as one of Rapture Pro and Rapture Session's more helpful features. One such graphic is now provided for poly synth programs too.


And since there’s a Poly Synth instrument page, why not include some new sounds to go along with? Why not, indeed—there are now 50 new sounds with the core install.


Rapture Pro now remembers independent locations for Load Program and Save Program, which solves the potential annoyance of having to switch back and forth between folders when loading and saving.

• The multi-sample loading process is now multithreaded, which gives much faster loading of programs with samples that take up lots of memory.
  
• The introduction of resource sharing means resources aren’t reloaded if they’re shared with the previous program.
  
• The bug where the eighth instrument control retained the settings from a previously loaded program has been fixed.
  
• Improvement to the authorization process for both Mac and Windows computers that are on slower connections.

Now available for the first time on Steam - the Gibson Bass Collection for Rapture Session & Pro

The Gibson Bass Collection includes the Gibson Les Paul Standard Bass, Gibson Midtown Bass, and Gibson EB 5-String Bass 2.0, an updated and enhanced version of the Gibson EB 5-String Bass pack originally created for Dimension Pro.

Note: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3201845) appears to resolve the issue stated below. Make sure to check your Windows 10 updates, if you are having issues.

It has come to our attention that a recent Windows 10 update has introduced instability in a subset of our plug-ins and may cause SONAR or other Windows DAWs to crash. The problem is related to a change in the timing for thread initialization on Windows, which leads to intermittent crashing on project load, plug-in scanning, or adding these plug-ins to a project. We are able to reproduce the issue and it appears to only affect some systems since it is timing related.

We are actively working on a resolution and will release fixes to the affected plugins as soon as possible.
