It will cause problems, I tried to play, but when trying to interact with stuff it didn't work, there was no hand/mouth/eye icons, so I had no way to progress the game. I exited the game to try and see if restarting it helped, but then I discovered that I couldn't bring up the Steam window, I literally couldn't use the Steam program. Uninstalling Steam didn't fix it, deleting TLJ didn't fix it, the only thing that worked was resetting the computer. The problems occurred only after playing this game, so TLJ...

I think I have a buggy version on my computer (Surface plus) where I don't see any characters, but still managed to get to Chapter 3 of the game (because the curser changes when you can interact with someone or something). Now I had to close the game (and did so with the task manager) but now I cannot start the game anymore or load a save game. What can I do?...

I've made some fixes for the game. One is for the white box, so the quit dialog can display properly. The other fixes the issue where some NPC textures appear fully transparent in some spots instead of black. You can download them from here Just copy both dx_module.dll and MFC71.dll from the zip into your game's folder and replace the old files....
