Nice rover reference material, mid to awful game.

Judging by the forums and the game itself - devs took their sweet time studying and documenting every rover part, and that's cool and good.
They did NOT take their time studying UX and how to make good games. AT ALL

I think that most of the gameplay could be described by

It begins with your first launch, where you get a LOUD wind sound EXCLUSIVELY in your RIGHT ear. It's because there's a sound source to your right, and if you're using headphones - refer to paragraph a)
EVERY time you launch the game you need to get your RIGHT ear blasted until you navigate 2-3 menus, turn around and go into airlock. It is not used for ANYTHING except the startup sequence. Why? Refer to paragraph a)
You can't just click the menus, you have to HOLD the buttons for a couple of seconds like you're getting your fingerprint scanned. Pretty cool, huh? I remind you, that you're getting your right eardrum sandblasted at the moment. Refer to paragraph a)
Half the ingame menus use fingerprint scan mechanic. It's soo cool, right??? You need to do it like 3-5 times every mission. Missions may be time-limited. If you want 100% - you need to pass like 50-70 of them. Do you still think it's cool? No? Refer to paragraph a)

Main gameplay loop is as follows:
1) You accept quest in your tablet (fingerprint), exit it
2) You activate your ingame pc (fingerprint)
3) You click the crane icon on your pc
4) you position the crane over the box, grab it, place it on the stand, all the while camera flickers fiercely
5) you press Esc and exit to your (ingame) desktop
6) you swear, and press Esc one more time to finally get the ability to walk
7) you look at the quest description on your tablet
8) you inspect rover parts
9) you remove broken ones
10) you 3d-print repacements
11) you replace the parts (sometimes the parts are actually assemblies, [sets], and you need to dissassemble them into smaller parts, so you could replace them)
12) you disassemble the broken parts into credits
13) you reprogram the rover (bioshock pipes hacking minigame)
14) you complete the quest on your tablet (fingerprint)
15) you press "yes, I see the results" (ANOTHER fingerprint)

Every machine \ tablet operation has a dumb slow animation of picking it up \ walking towards it \ closing it. Why do we need it? Refer to paragraph a)

You can automate bioshock hacking minigame with a perk. Cool? Yes.
Is placing a crate with your rover on the stand a dumb repeatable task that should be automated in the same way? Yes. Can it be automated? Refer to paragraph a)

Every part that you de\\install on the rover makes your camera change it's position 3-4 times. I'm not talking about different angles to see different screws or some such, I'm saying that you did all the screws, and then you watch for 3-7 seconds as camera shuffles timidly and erratically (it may even change roll angle!) back and forth, before you can do something again. EVERY part. Well, maybe every second part, but there can be 50 PLUS parts in an order, every one of which you need to BOTH deinstall and then reinstall. Camera goes 3 cm farther, 2 cm closer, 15 cm farther, 2 cm farther. For most of the said 50 parts. Why? REFER TO PARAGRAPH A)

You can disassamble complex parts (like motors) into their components (like brushes, rotor, lid), and reprint only the broken components. Pretty cool, huh? Yes.
Broken components get into your warehouse, you can recycle them.

What's when you're into like the 40th mission, and you don't wanna do components, you wanna print the motor whole? (Or Perseverance wheel, which has A LOT of screws and components, but is really cheap as a [set]) Good news! You CAN do that! You can print a whole [set] at once, and install it like that!
But what's with the old set? Can you recycle it? NO, it will clog your inventory F-ING FOREVER, refer to paragraph a)
But that surely is a mistake! Won't devs do something about it?
You're in luck! Devs indeed promissed to make it a priority and release the feature next week!
