This game is great and I will always love it. It's such a good time waster and has a lot of content to keep you on it for many hours. You play it for five minutes and suddenly you're hooked on it for monthes just 100% the game. You can build in this game and have a nice relaxing build session or take out some bosses and try to defeat the final boss (Currently moon lord). I feel the game has enough content to always have a community, and will be loved for many more years to come. There is a great community and the devs are very good at keeping it updated and such. The only thing I would not recommend this game to someone for is if they don't have a lot of time, they should be careful because they will get sucked in immediatly.
2020 Update:
1.4 came out in May, and was a blast to play through. In October, the game received the last patch/update that changed some bugs and added some balance changes. The game is still very good and has a ton of new content since 1.3, so to be the last update is amazing, since it's the biggest update for the game ever. There is plenty to do within this game, and amazing to play with friends. I personally played with some of my old friends from around 2016/2017, and had a blast playing the game with them again and catching up. Definitely one of my favorite games, and glad it received a final update. They also added mod support through the steam workshop, so once you beat the game, there is plenty of mods out there for you to try out and give you much more content than before to explore and playthrough all over again.
