This game is very cute, very somber, very sad. It is your own little nature documentary. Always stressful being a single mom in the woods with three kittens in tow. Nothing quite as heart wrenching as realizing one of your kittens is missing and trying to retrace your steps to see if they just got lost in the brush or taken by a predator.

I absolutely recommend checking this game out! The Tower Defense and Real Time Tactics mesh very well together as you defend your wee island stronghold from invaders. I love being able to utilize the environment to my advantage, funneling larger enemy forces around the map to meet their doom as my archers pick them off or my pikemen charge them to a watery grave. It can get very, very stressful when you have limited troops and enemies coming from all angles. My last run was a try hard run and I accepted no half victories. Death before dishonor!

Played this game before it came to Steam and had to support it on here too. The graphics are gritty, crunchy, even. It's brutal. It feels dark and dangerous. The Dealer is otherworldly.

Multiple is sorta whack, since connection issues plague it and other players often drop out the second they start to lose. But this game is an experience and solo playing is more than enough to justify going to that seedy club and risking it all for a brief glimpse at death.

This game has some great challenges, presenting you with winding mazes and increasingly tough enemies to navigate. It's got great sound design and there is something so satisfying about making it through to the end of a level and seeing the winding path you took. Sometimes, I do wish it was a little less random, but it keeps you on your toes. The visuals are great, the graphic title cards and menu fantastic. Aren't you tired of being nice? Don't you want to Ape Out.

I've played this game a lot with my friends. It's a fun and goofy game. It's got room for players who know all the best ways to scale a mountain and room for those of us who eat every mushroom we find and often wander out of earshot only to break both of our legs in a ravine.

This game is better going in if you know less about what you're in for. There are some amazing twists and jaw dropping turns. I played through multiple times trying to 100% the achievements, only to show the game to my sister and have her play through it blind, and she STILL managed to get endings I hadn't explored yet. Just goes to show that there are a metric TON of endings and winding paths.

This game is so thoughtful, so magical, so weird in the best ways. There are whole Youtube essays to be written about cycles of destruction, how people hurt each other, how people hurt themselves. What's the old saying? "Hurt princesses, hurt princesses." Or something.

Game is a lot of fun. Great characters who feel familiar but also offer new takes on common superhero tropes. Felt like watching a show, never a dull moment. I got to play this in one run, but I can only imagine the tension of playing episodes and having to wait for the next one to drop. Feels like a mature story about superheroes that also doesn't take itself overly serious. Plenty of flawed characters that feel real for such a cartoony world.

The most unrealistic thing is that Invisigal calls Robert "Dad Bod" and Blonde Blazer goes along with it.

This game has style! This game as wit! This game has story! This game has tactical puzzles! It's what you see on the tin and plenty more. The humor is balanced out with some dramatic story beats, but it's still a game with wizard hats and cameo. I've enjoyed the world immensely and hope we get to see more of it in the future!

Game is a lot of fun! I really enjoy the various difficulty levels and how you can make interesting choices in the game about your weapon load out, enemy type, planet, team tactics, etc. Community has been good to play with and a lot of random players are willing to help out newbies. The game does require you to look up some information (such as holding X to pull up a menu to drop items) which seems like an oversight. All in all, I'm trying to get as many friends into this game as possible.

EDIT 11/27/2024: I'm still diving, still enjoying the game. I've unlocked most everything and used to play on 7 for a challenge, now I play on level 9 for a tough victory. I play 50/50 with friends and random squads, mostly against bots. Looking forward to seeing what comes next for this game in 2025.

Game is a lot of fun! Really cool to be a creepy, fleshy, monstrosity crawling around in vents and pulling scientists to your hungry maw. It does get a little confusing in some places as to where you should go next. A mini map would be very helpful. I always eventually found the place I needed to go next, but sometimes not without a lot of backtracking and literally writing down which directions I had checked over completely.
