This is a fun survival game with zombies, sounds familiar. So far I have 50+ hours and I'm still enjoying it.
I couldn't really get into project zomboid due to it being kind of slow and feels a bit sluggish, Humanitz doesn't suffer from those problems. This really has potential to become something really fun and great. The devs also seem to be all ears when it comes to feedback and they are quite active both on steam and on discord.
As of this review, this is a solid 7/10 with a potential of becoming an 8,5/10.

WARNING!
Avoid at all cost. This tech demo is not worth your money, wait 2-3 years and then see.

As of now, this is a 30€ tech demo. Save your money for now.
You can run around, shoot some zombies, pick up some weapons and that's about it. You can't even save.
And how slowly the updates are going it's going to take a minimum of 3 years before it's anywhere near release.

Edit:
Also, apparently the developer doesn't know what a few days means. Because they released a blog-post on steam saying that they would release an update in "literally in the next few days." but a week has gone by and no update. So maybe that means something different in their language than mine.

Edit2:
So the patch finally came out and just broke the game for me, like literally. Whenever I get into a shootout with the zombies the game grinds to a halt and I can't even see why as task manager doesn't see the CPU spike nor does nvidiainspector spike or fall. I literally saw the damn thing go down to 4 FPS for like 3-5 seconds and it was a slideshow.
Not only that, the new WASD system is so poorly implemented that it felt like it was done on a whim, and that's not a good sign.

Seriously, I'm having major buyers remorse at this point.

Edit3:
The patch seems to have fixed my FPS issues, now it's back to "normal".
There's save system in place, a very rudimentary one with weird quirks.
For example, there's just one save (at least per game) so you can't make several saves and pick which one to load. It loads whichever save was done last.
Now for the not so good part about the saves, it either resets the zombies or can just spawns in random zombies around you. So if you saved someplace which you've cleared of zombies they might be back when you spawn, or in my case I ran into some place that didn't have zombies and when I loaded in...tada, zombies right on top of me.
But it's something at least...

Edit4:
So, the dev said that patches would come out within 2-3 weeks (sometimes little longer, sometimes little faster) of each-other.
It's been 5 months (that's 20 weeks) since last patch.
Abandoneware? You tell me.

Edit5:
This game is extremely likely being abandonware. It's been 10 months since last update.
So save yourself the 30€ (or however much it costs now) and look elsewhere for a game.

Love it!
Zero Sievert is so brutal and merciless but so satisfying and fun.
With an upcoming patch you'll be able to change the difficulty settings which will be a fun game even for those who just want to relax while playing video-games, for those who want even more challenge you'll be able to make this even harder.
Even though this is in EA it's still a good purchase as it's more than playable at this stage.

Edit:
Just made a quick change to my review as the longer loading times are now a thing of the past.
With the 0.4 patch the game is also changed a bit since my initial review, for better and worse.
The weapons now have a sweet-spot mechanic, meaning that depending on weapon type (Pistol, SMG, AR, DMR or Sniper rifle) they only do full damage at certain ranges. For example, and SMG will do full damage in close to mid range but the damage will drop of significantly when going mid to long until it won't do any damage at all.

Recoil is now more intense, the visual feedback is bad though and what's worse is that the AI will go into their sweet-spot range and mag-dump in a perfect linear death-ray while you will have to either tap-fire or burst. This usually ends with me dead and frustrated. So IMHO it's a good idea but poor execution, it needs tweaking.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this was supposed to be a short addendum but turned out a bit longer than expected.
Anywho, I'd still recommend this game.

You want opinions, well, here they are.

- The character interaction between the people at the shelter is fantastic.
All the characters have different likes and dislikes as well as personalities.
Some might be kind and helpful, other might be psychotic and one or two might be complete sociopaths who care for nobody besides themselves.
You also get to interact with them in a meaningful way at times, meaning you can at certain points steer them into choosing paths (for example there was one who asked me if they should be a better shot or a better harvester).

-The map. It's HUGE, there are so many places that you can visit that it's almost overwhelming at times. There are different types of locations from an abandoned gas station to a two story hospital and a nine-story hotel.

-Leveling
It's not your usual type of leveling, you don't level up by killing but by the goals you finish to better the shelter. For example, bring home 100 food and/or 50 luxury items. These can be mixed and done at random. One of my favorite is 'decrypting' data-discs by basically solving an anagram.

-The shelter/basebuilding
It's nothing fancy but it gets the job done. You have certain things you can build to improve the shelter, such as a sturdier fence or a car to be able to travel faster on the map. It's nothing extraordinary but it's effective and does what it's supposed to.

-Combat
Very simple and disappointing. However, since there are more than one faction (besides the zombies) you can now and then run into different groups fighting each-other and decide to either jump in and start killing or wait out to see who's the victor and then attack them.

Now for the bad parts.

-Bugs, bugs and more bugs
Some bugs can be annoying, such as not being able to loot certain stuff while others might be somewhat game-breaking (as event not triggering or not being able to fix broken things in the shelter). This is something that can and should put most people off from playing the game as of now since if you spent 40+ hours just to have everything break down and then make you wait til there's a patch that fixes it.

Because of the bugs I can't recommend this since I can't even finish the game due to CTD's at the end fight.

I would give this game 7 carrots out of 4 bears holding 20 poker-cards.

Here are some opinions on Jagged Alliance: Flashback

-Combat
Takes ides from X-Com yet keeps the action point system intact.
It's nothing fancy but it gets the job done.

-Mercs
There are quite a few mercs, all with their own skill-set and attributes.
There's virtually no interaction between any of the mercs you hire and that old charm from other JA titles is just not there. At least the portraits are there.

-IMP
It's there and it's ace.
You get a set of 12 questions that you answer and that gives you perks according to how you've answered. It's pretty much just as you remembered it in JA2.

-World Map
It's tiny, there are around 20 or so sectors which are occupied by the enemy and the number of enemies in each sector will never go above 9 for some reason.
The sector maps aren't that much larger either but that doesn't matter as you'll more than likely find all the enemy soldiers in the same spot.

-Leveling
You get xp for hitting your enemies and completing quests. As well as you'll get some xp for doing things such as.

-AI
Stupid as a sack of potatoes. If they don't bug you and just stand there getting shot at, they just run towards you like village idiots wanting to see what all the commotion is about. Once you've learned their patterns you've basically won the game (which is by no means a hard task to do, even on hard and impossible).

-Modding
It's said the game will improve much when modding will start rolling out which might improve the game even further in the future.

This game is worth a buy for half price (15€ or 19$) but not for what they're asking.
I give this game 4 carrots out of 19 doggies holding 11 pokemon-cards.
