About James
I specialize in working with, providing support for, and writing about Broadcom's BlazeMeter Continuous Testing cloud platform, built upon the Codename Taurus open-source platform.
My current work thus includes expertise in QA testing, performance testing, and API testing and monitoring. I often find myself debugging or creating Apache JMeter and Selenium scripts along the way.
Having previously worked on the CA Release Automation Team prior to moving my focus to BlazeMeter, I am an Agile veteran who has operated along various stages of the software life-cycle, from continuous testing to continuous deployment.
Beyond that, I'm a 15-year veteran of the tech industry, hailing from Oracle prior to joining CA Technologies (which is now a Broadcom company).
I'm both a tech writer (check out my work at guide.blazemeter.com!) and Certified Knowledge Centered Services (KCS) v6 Practices expert -- meaning I'm certified in creating and maintaining Agile, continuously-updated knowledge bases serving just-in-time content with the goal of vastly empowering customer self-service, easing the load a bit off of front-line support engineers. I also have experience as a KCS coach, having mentored support engineers in how to apply an Agile mindset to turn solved tickets into KB articles, thus decreasing the volume of repeat tickets as self-service channels evolve.
I'm a techie by profession and lifestyle. In my free time, I'm learning Python, Java, and JavaScript while working on my own personal coding projects.
My career thus far has spanned the worlds of customer engagement, technical support, team leadership, technical mentoring, and technical writing.
