Hi there, my name is Ralf Speer, aka Tunahead. I did my bachelor's degree in computer science and then decided to make games!
I am also currently doing my master's degree in media & computer science in the Black Forest. In which I basically focus mostly on game-related topics. Like engine development, computer graphics, and so on. I also teach some students from GMB (Games and Immersive Media Bachelor) how to use Godot.
Here I will talk in short about the games you can see on the left side. I am still waiting for itch to turn on Custom CSS...so this is just basically a temporary solution. I apologize (≧︿≦)
This was a very fast project. Just developed in a few hours as a showcase for my students. This was mostly built so even beginners could code and develop alongside in my lessons. So this is a very bare-bones version of Space Invaders. It doesn't matter; it was made for students to get a first taste in Game Development!
This was developed during the Global Game Jam 2026! For the most part, I was more in the role of technical lead. We had 3 artists (who basically never made a game), one beginner programmer, and one who had more experience in software development in general. This taught me a lot about how to organize and handle a team of this size. How to teach someone the basics of game development and so on. It was really a fun and great 48 hours. Also, this was in the middle of my other exams. Maybe not the best idea, but I am very happy that I went to this event. I am still very proud of this game, even though it's more a proof of concept. More info about how contributed to this project can be found on the Game Page itself :).
This was for a subject in my first master's semester. Interactive Design. The idea was to make a mixed reality minigolf game, hence the name MR Minigolf. Although we hit some big roadblocks, developing VR on Linux with a Meta Quest 3 is pretty annoying, to say the least. So this never really went on to be a real MR game. Still, it's a pretty neat VR minigolf experience.
An Endless Runner I made for the Brackeyes Game Jam 2025.1. The original idea was to make an infinite runner, but I later decided that making 3 cool levels and adding a "True" Ending would be much better for my current skill set and Scope. This was my first time working together with an artist (who is credited on the Games Page). I am still very proud of this one. It's still pretty fun for the few minutes it lasts. I also worked a bit on a full version of this game. The code is so much of a mess that I would need to rewrite most of it completely. Not going to lie, it was more fun to continue on and make new and other games. Maybe I will come back at some time...
Looking back right now (a bit more than a year now), it shows how far I've come. Also, I am pretty sure this was the Game Jam that reignited my love for game making. I'd even say Trash Dash is the reason why I went back to university and did my master's. So thanks, Trash Dash! <3
This was the first time in a long time that I tried to get back into game development. It was also the first time I used Godot for a game jam. I had SOME experience with Godot, but not really. Back when I made this, it was just to challenge myself. Can I finish SOMETHING resembling a game? So the BIG MODE Game Jam was just perfect to distract myself with A Hat in Slime.
A small and neat little Jump'n'Run I made in 2020 with Game Maker Studio. I had a free weekend and enough time to learn Game Maker. So I made this little game. I still love how I incorporated "Stuck in a Loop". Sadly, I can't get it running on Linux, and I am not sure if the Windows build still works :(
