About us
ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people through access to Army Cadets. We also develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers in the army cadets. We believe that opening up opportunities to every young person to learn new skills, build confidence and develop friendships through army cadet’s activities will inspire young people to achieve their life ambitions.

Our third fundraiser running the London Marathon in aid of ACCT UK this April is Rob. Rob has been training for the marathon since 2025 and is a keen long-distance runner, having taken part in the Manchester Half Marathon in October! He told us... “I’m running for ACCT UK because I’ve seen first hand the huge difference the charity makes in supporting young people when they need it most, and I’m really proud to be fundraising for such an important cause.” Keep up to date with Rob's fundraising journey here 👇🏻 https://lnkd.in/eDEMsKuR

We're at the midway point of the London Marathon fundraising week, and it's time to introduce our second runner. Say hello to Mabel! Mabel has chosen to run for ACCT UK as she believes the charity plays a vital role in making the cadet experience accessible to everyone. She told us: "Cadets had a big impact on my own personal development and growth. I see this opportunity as a chance to give back." Help us cheer on Clwyd and Gwynedd ACF's Padre Toby Jones as he prepares to run the Burj2Burj Half Marathon in Dubai this Sunday! Padre Toby, who is taking part in multiple races this year, has chosen to run the 21.1km half marathon in support of ACCT UK. He told us: "Running has an amazing ability to change lives and inspire people to push past limits and do things they didn’t think possible, and so does being an Army Cadet. In the last four years, I have seen young lives changed immeasurably, so I run in support of ACCT UK to help enable the amazing work of Army Cadets." Good luck, Padre Toby! 🍀 Support Padre Toby's fundraising mission here: https://lnkd.in/eiFkvh_p RFCA for Wales

Today is the first day of London Marathon fundraising week, and we want to shine a spotlight on the four runners participating in the marathon in aid of ACCT UK. Our first runner, Steve, is a seasoned marathon runner and former army cadet who chose to run on behalf of ACCT UK after being inspired by an Adult Volunteer who ran for us last year. "Seeing how a volunteer from Devon ACF won an award for fundraising by running the London Marathon was really inspirational. When the opportunity came to apply for a charity place, I couldn’t let it pass me by after that inspiring award and story." Find out more about Steve and his training journey here: https://lnkd.in/eAETiTTn

But isn't DofE expensive? Let's clear this up 👇 As an Army Cadet, you can access funding through: ✔️ Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK grants ✔️ The Ulysses Trust funding ✔️ Your unit's support Your expedition kit, registration fees, and more – there's help available. Don't let cost be the reason you don't start. Speak to your cadet leader this week about funding options and how to apply. #ArmyCadetsUK #DofE
