When maker Cameron Paczek moved into a new home directly beneath a flight path, he came up with an ingenious idea to project the planes flying overhead onto the ceiling inside using real-time flight tracking data. Now he can plane spot from the comfort of his sofa. Come fly with us ✈️ https://lnkd.in/dgdBuNP3

It is amazing to see this launch by Hellbender Inc.! A monocular camera featuring the CM5 and Hailo 8 AI accelerator is an excellent solution for those looking to transition their work on the AI HAT+ into a more durable and scalable product. You can see this product and others like it at Automate Show in Chicago, from 22–25 June. Meet us at stand 2281 in the South Building of McCormick Place: https://lnkd.in/e4UizTSP
Good things come in threes, and our first batch of edge AI cameras is no exception! Say hello to the 🌿 Hellbender Tendryl 🌿 Like our Stereo and Vine Cameras, Tendryl combines hardware from our friends at Raspberry Pi and Hailo, and integrates all that capability in a compact monocular edge AI camera. Like the tendrils that plants use to attach themselves to surfaces and grow upwards, the Tendryl provides a foothold for development teams to build and grow with reliable hardware that bridges the gap between prototype and product. With customization options for branding, optics and more, the Hellbender Tendryl removes the hardware hurdle to scalable vision products. Pre-Orders will be available later this month, with shipments starting in August. Click the link in the comments to join the waitlist!

This Raspberry Pi-powered IoT solution reduces kill switch costs by 90%. With a new AWS IoT solution on Raspberry Pi hardware, Green Custard significantly reduced the cost of Pirate Studios’ second-generation kill switch system, and made device fleet management more efficient and intuitive. Pirate Studios is a Bristol-born company with over 700 purpose-built studios across the UK, US, and Germany, providing 24-hour access to recording equipment. Their extensive network of self-service studios requires a large-scale system of full-time, remote automation to ensure that the studios are being used fairly. This includes a fleet of kill switches to shut off all power to the equipment if clients overstay their booking or break any of the house rules. Finding their existing power management solution to be increasingly expensive, Pirate sought the expertise of technology consultancy Green Custard Ltd. to help them reduce costs, scale and extend the system, and improve their understanding of it by introducing kill switch health data and alerts for developers. Green Custard’s first step was to develop on Raspberry Pi hardware already installed across the studio network, reducing Pirate Studios’ upfront costs. 🎚️ https://lnkd.in/eDCYJuuT
